With her unibersidad forms ready and bags packed, Rosie is all set to study for a degree in music at the unibersidad College in London, England. She felt excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because her dream of studying in England one araw is finally becoming a reality, especially since she's a huge Beatles fan. Nervous because this will be the first time that she will be away from tahanan and from her family. However, the fact that she is bringing her laptop and that the unibersidad has free internet assured her that they will still be in touch with each other. She is also bringing her Oyster Card and some of her Beatles albums and books. During the ride going to the airport, she asked her parents, "I wonder if I will be able to make mga kaibigan while I'm there. After all, I could use a companion to help me get through a rough araw and to protect me from bullies." Her mother replied, "Oh, I'm very sure that you will, dear. The British are very warm and friendly people, so there's a high chance that you will make some buddies." Her father nodded in agreement and said, "That's right. And remember, always do your best in your studies. You are an excellent, hard-working student and we are so proud of you." Rosie then remarked, "Thank you very much for the encouraging words. I'm really happy to have parents like you." Her mother and father both smiled afterwards. Soon, they arrived at the airport. After several exchanges of hugs and kisses, Rosie bade a tearful goodbye to her parents as she went inside the terminal and told them, "I pag-ibig you both, and I'll keep in touch!" The check-in process went quite smooth for her, as well as going through the immigration and security checkpoints. While waiting for the boarding time, Rosie decided to eat a snack. She bought a ham and cheese sanwits and a bottle of kahel juice. She also bought a pack of chocolate-covered macadamia nuts. It was then time to board the plane. No one else was occupying the spot where Rosie was sitting, so she was free to lie down and get some sleep during the 15-hour flight. When the plane finally touched down in London Heathrow, she squealed with delight and thought to herself, "Hooray! I'm finally here!" After going through the usual processes and claiming her luggage from the carousel, she went straight to the taxi bay. When she got out, the weather was cool and breezy. She then told the taxi driver, "I'd like to go to unibersidad College London, please." The driver replied, "All right. Let's go." As the ride started, he said, "Welcome to London! What brings you here, young lady?" Rosie replied, "I'm here to take up a degree in music. You see, I've been dreaming of studying in your country one day. Now, this dream is finally coming true." "Oh, that's lovely!" The driver remarked. A conversation was also started between the two...
Taxi driver: "Where are you from, sa pamamagitan ng the way?"
Rosie: "I'm from the Philippines."
Taxi driver: "Nice! I've been there once before. It's a beautiful place."
Rosie: "I'm glad you enjoyed your trip."
Taxi driver: "Are you a tagahanga of the Beatles?"
Rosie: "Why, yes! I am!"
Taxi driver: "Me too. I've been a tagahanga for as long as I can remember."
Rosie: "Their music is awesome! Isn't it?
Taxi driver: "It truly is!"
The conversation had ended sa pamamagitan ng the time they reached the university. Rosie then proceeded to ibigay her forms in the main building. She also asked the person in charge, "Will I be sharing a dorm with another student?" The lady replied as she gave her the key, "I am happy to tell you that you will have a dorm all to yourself. However, you are free to share it with any mga kaibigan that you make. Just let me know about him or her." Rosie said, "Okay, thank you very much." The lady smiled and told her, "Anytime, darling. The class will start tomorrow morning, so try to get up early so you can still have breakfast." "Yes, I'll remember that." When Rosie reached her dorm and went inside, she was amazed sa pamamagitan ng the size of it. There was a bedroom with two beds, a living room with a TV set and radio, a kitchen, a private bathroom, and a study desk. After unpacking her things and doing a quick channel surf, Rosie began to yawn and decided to get ready for bed. She changed her clothes, brushed her teeth, and read for a few minutos until she finally felt sleepy. As she turned off her lamp, she sinabi to herself, "It looks like I'm going to have a very enjoyable time here! I hope to make a new friend tomorrow during my class." With that thought in her head, she pulled the blankets, closed her eyes, and dozed off to a good night's sleep.

It is now is the last araw for exploring, and we wanted to make the most of today before packing our things. My father got intrigued sa pamamagitan ng a bangka ride around the lake, so he asked us if we would like to try one. We got excited and accepted his offer right away. Our starting point for the bangka ride is at the tourist center in Montreux, where we bought the tickets. The ride was very relaxing and fun with the calm, crystal blue waters and snow-capped Alps. We stopped at the Vevey pier near the town square. After dropping off, we explored the area, ate lunch, and bought plenty of souvenirs. As the araw drew to a close, we took some last minuto photos. We rested for a few minutos before packing up. I sighed and sinabi to myself, "I'm going to miss this beautiful place so much. But I know we will visit here again soon."
After my parents had finished their conversation with Dave, they told me that we will be having a araw out with his family tomorrow. I got so excited that I almost couldn't sleep. The susunod day, we met his wife, Sophie, and their two daughters in the lobby. They were very happy to meet us. We then rode the bus going to Vevey, as the family planned to visit the Alimentarium pagkain Museum. They have visited Chillon Castle, too. Although we've already been there, we decided to accompany them. It soon turns out that our segundo visit was madami fun because we had madami companions, and we also had a conversation in the cafe while eating some ice cream. When the museum closed, we took a stroll along the lakeside, taking lots of mga litrato and videos. It was a really enjoyable family araw out and we had a magnificent time together.
The last museum for our tour is the Historical Museum of Vevey. This museum showcases the history of the city and its surrounding areas. It also has a mission to preserve its cultural heritage. The exhibits here feature Vaud and Swiss furniture, handicrafts, old weapons, medal collections, manuscripts, engravings and paintings of minor Swiss masters. There is also a room showcasing a local event known as "The Feast of the Brotherhood of Winegrowers", which takes place about every twenty years and whose purpose is to protect the interest of vineyards and vine growers. All in all, it was a very interesting museum and we enjoyed it.
The susunod museum we went to was the Swiss Camera Museum, which is located in Vevey, too. In this museum, there are exhibits showcasing the history of pagkuha ng larawan and film. It even displays some vintage cameras. We also watched a hilarious short film in the theater before leaving. In the following day, we visited the Swiss Museum of Games. This museum is just a short walk away from our hotel, and what makes it unique is that it's housed in a castle. Inside the museum were exhibits of classic games, from marbles to chess, as well as retro and modern video games. Our visits to both museums were splendid and we had a very lovely time.
Today is the start of our museum tour. We went out a little earlier than usual so we could have madami time. The first museum that we visited was the Alimentarium pagkain Museum in Vevey. Before going there, we decided to check out the Nestle headquarters and shop. Afterwards, we started our walk to the museum. It was a little far, though. But we didn't mind as we also wanted to walk sa pamamagitan ng the lakeside. When we reached the museum vicinity, we posed for pictures with the Charlie Chaplin statue and a suspended giant fork. The museum itself showcases the history of pagkain and there are lots of interactive exhibits. There is also a cafe in the ground floor. An audio guide is recommended to make the most of your visit, so I got one for free at the ticket booth. In the end, it was another educational and enjoyable experience for us.
The first historical place that we visited is the Chillon Castle, or the "Château de Chillon", as it is locally called. I was excited for this, as I will be going inside a kastilyo for the very first time. I've always been fascinated sa pamamagitan ng them. My father also took a break from his work so he can visit the kastilyo with us. We got a discount for our tickets after ipinapakita our visitor card. The kastilyo was built on a small rocky island in the lake. We explored the dungeon, the dining room, the armory, and the courtyard. There is even an ancient bathroom where the toilets are simply large holes! Overall, it was a fun and educational experience and we enjoyed our visit there. Before going back to the hotel, we ate a hearty hapunan at a chinese restaurant called Beijing Town in Montreux.
