After a four-hour ride, the foursome and the Beatles finally arrived in Manchester. While walking, they could observe that the place was not as alive because of the water disruption. Even the giant fountain in the city square was all dried up. As the group stopped to plan out what they should do next, Nicholas saw a familiar figure approaching their vicinity. The figure herself stopped and thought, "Nicholas, is that you?" At just the right time, he exclaimed, "Bridget!" The two then ran towards each other and gave a big hug. Bridget said, "Oh, Nicholas, I missed you so much! Did you come here to check on me?" Nicholas replied, "I missed you, too, love! And yes, I did." Bridget remarked, "That is so sweet of you." This made Nicholas smile, and he then introduced her to Rosie, the Geordie twins, and the Beatles. They were very happy to meet her as well. Bridget said, "I'm glad you made lots of new mga kaibigan when you left for college, Nicholas." Nicholas replied, "I'm glad for that, too, Bridget." Rosie said, "And I've decided for us to come here so we could find what caused the city's water supply to get cut off and to restore it." Bridget replied, "That's great! I would like to help you all with your mission, too. Let's go to my house so we could discuss and plan on how to work this out." Rosie remarked, "Wonderful! Let's go!" So, with Bridget leading them, everyone started their walk to her house.

The first historical place that we visited is the Chillon Castle, or the "Château de Chillon", as it is locally called. I was excited for this, as I will be going inside a kastilyo for the very first time. I've always been fascinated sa pamamagitan ng them. My father also took a break from his work so he can visit the kastilyo with us. We got a discount for our tickets after ipinapakita our visitor card. The kastilyo was built on a small rocky island in the lake. We explored the dungeon, the dining room, the armory, and the courtyard. There is even an ancient bathroom where the toilets are simply large holes! Overall, it was a fun and educational experience and we enjoyed our visit there. Before going back to the hotel, we ate a hearty hapunan at a chinese restaurant called Beijing Town in Montreux.
After studying the mini booklet the past night, my mother and I decided to ride the tram bus going back to Vevey. We showed the visitor card to the driver, who then allowed us to take our seats. It was a relaxing ride. When we arrived, we went to a small shopping center to eat lunch. We also explored the department store and supermarket, where we bought some take-out food, tsokolate bars, and juice. After the mall closed for the day, we went around the neighborhood for a couple of hours before going back to the hotel. My father returned from his work and asked how our araw was. We told him that we had lots of fun together, to which he responded, "I am very happy to know that you are enjoying the place." Soon, it was time to go to bed. Before I slept, my mother told me that we will be visiting Montreux tomorrow.

Today is the start of our first trip to Switzerland and our very first trip to the continent of Europe. Everything is all set. We have our passports with the visas ready, our hotel has been booked, and we have arranged for a car service to take us to the airport. I was very excited for this trip. Our flight path includes a stopover in Singapore, since there are no direct flights going to Switzerland from the Philippines. The airline that we rode is Singapore Airlines. When we touched down in Singapore, we had to stay there overnight as the flight going to Zurich is on the susunod day. We stayed in a cheap, low quality hotel called Grand Chancellor, which is located in the Little India district. After checking in, we ate hapunan outside and did some shopping in a nearby mall. We got ready to sleep right away once we got back to our room, as we had to wake up early for the flight tomorrow...
