"It's definitely going to be a different season," the star teased of the upcoming election-themed cycle.
Evan Peters is ready to be the Ivanka to Sarah Paulson's Donald Trump.
After news broke that the next season of FX's
will be election-themed, Paulson put it out into the ether that she'd like to accept the challenge of playing the show's Donald Trump. Now that the season is beginning to take shape, Peters couldn't comment on either of their official roles, but he also threw his hat into the politics ring by volunteering to play the first daughter.
"Sarah can play anything, so she can definitely nail Trump," Peters told
, which premiered at New York's Tribeca Film Festival. "I'd love to see her portray Trump because he has so many external things that she can really [dive into]. If Sarah can play Trump, I will play Ivanka."

By announcing the theme, Murphy has already revealed more about the season than the last cycle, which didn't reveal its cast and plot until premiere night.
Still, that doesn't mean Murphy is breaking tradition and divulging too much —
details are frequently kept under wraps. It's still unconfirmed if Trump and/or his former opponent Hillary Clinton will actually be characters in the upcoming season. Murphy initially said "maybe" to casting the two roles, and later said he plans to use Trump-Clinton as a jumping off point for the season.  
Peters, who is an original castmember along with Paulson, said the mystery is what will make the ride.
"It’s definitely going to be a different season," he said. "I'd rather not say anything because I want to leave it up to people to see it and decide for themselves.
