Honestly, when you say hero, the first thing I think of is the fairy godmother pag-awit "I need a hero" in Shrek 2. But that's not an anime, so I have to post something else. I'll go with Photon; the idiot with a puso of ginto (the twerp in green). There's not a greedy or perverted bone in his body, much to the irk of everyone in the series.
