I've been watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and on my way to season 2 (well started) and what is this endless 8 I keep hearing about even my friend warned me about it when I started season 2. Can anyone tell me?

so basically its the exact same plot but with different stuff like some dialogue and clothing or places? if so...I'm up for the challenge of watching it all >:D
