Do guys really get a nose bleed in real life just like in Anime?

Why else would they make Anime guy characters nose bleed then if it wasn't something that really happened for real though or in real life is it just like a figure of speech? I mean I don't even see how that makes any sense then.

or maybe it's that expression how people get....."hot" when seeing a certain image, and I heard heat makes people nose bleed. I really don't know actually ._.

Hahaha, no! xD If memory serves, it's based on a Japanese myth that nosebleeds occur when sexually aroused/having dirty thoughts. I think it also has to do with blood pressure increasing+ face getting red, so blood out of the nose represents blood rushing to the face... I think. They're just a universal form of arousal in anime, like how a character that is sleeping has 'ZZZ' formed around their head. That's all it is :)
