Have you ever realized "kawaii" means "cute"?

Pinkie Pie sinabi it in episode 7 of the Japanese version of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. When she sinabi it, the subtiles sinabi "Cute!" I know this has nothing to do with anime, but a lot of anime fans relate kawaii with anime for some reason. If you didn't, God bless Pinkie Pie!

Yeah, I knew that for a very long time. Anime fans always use the word kawaii a lot for cute, because basically kawaii means cute in Japanese. It's in lots of Anime. Well the ones that are in Japanese.

Kawaii is "cute" in Japanese,therefore even if it doesn't relate to anime in particular it relates to Hapon which most people connect to anime therefore getting this chain of people who think that saying kawaii so many times along with a few Japanese words makes them Japanese or an anime character.
