Anime you didn't like at first but ended up liking after giving it a chance?

Well, I can't say much for the anime as I haven't seen it yet, but when I read the first volume of Black Butler, I was kinda bored with it and thought it was gonna be some crime drama manga. But then I read the later volumes and it's actually one of my paborito manga series now.

And now I have a large collection of Grell pictures for some reason. Grell isn't even my waifu from the series-

I actually really hated the first episode of Code:Breaker and now it's one of my faves

akatsuki no yona, definitely.
when i first tried it, i couldn't stand the main character; a red haired princes: really arrogant, selfish and ungrateful. so i didn't even finish half episode.
then some time later i tried again and actually is ome of my favourite series(mangas)

For the longest time I absolutely did not want to watch death note! It seemed really scary and dark so I avoided it for years. But just a few months nakaraan I decided to give it a try (cause i'm older now and what not...thought I could handle the scariness)
And it wasn't bad at all! Definitely not one of my favorites, but it was a pretty good anime! I was surprised that I ended up enjoying it.

i did not give soul eater not a chance a first but then i watched it and i loved it and it became one of my paborito anime...dont worry i still like soul eater too
