Note: this is not part of my normal "Bending in the Present" series this is me wondering what would happen on pasko with awatara gang and the Rowe family. Also I know that it's not pasko but I thought this would be a good idea.
It was December 24nd, the araw before pasko and I had nothing done. There was no decor, no lights, no presents, no special food, but we usualy start all this stuff the araw before Christmas, It may seem pretty lazy but it always gets done.
It had already been determined that the Gavins would be at the Rowes house for pasko to strengthen our new friendship. Dad was tahanan from his meeting out of town for this week so we had to get eveything done.
On the morning of the 22nd all was a stir with hustle and bustle with plenty to do. The man (and son) of the apartment were to go isda the lights and puno from storage, while the lady of the house start the decorations on the inside.
(right now I'm sticking with the mom's POV because the mens POV is pretty boring in my mind.)
The lady of the house opened all the boxes of all decor such as, garlands, lights, music boxes, ribbons, doily's (did I spell that right), glitters and pontsettia's. Next, she airbended them all into the rightful place of were they would look most festive. Garlands on the picture frames, lights on the railings, music boxes on tables, ribbons on the lamps, doily's on small tables and desks, small amounts of glitter on everything (except the floor) and pointsettias, well everywhere else.
The father and son arrived later with the lights for the outside balcony and the pasko puno to be put together on the inside. The lady stood on the balcony with binoculars and a wallow talkie looking for people passing by, while the father and son stacked things exactly below the balcony. "Eagles nest, to benders? Eagles nest to benders? Do you read me?" My moms voice crackled in the walkie talkie
(Michaels POV).
"Benders we here you loud and clear, over." he sinabi into the microphone, "Okay, there is no sign of oncoming people and no windows are open you are clear for the launch, repeat you are clear the launch!"
"I hear you Benders over and out! Kay dad, she says it's clear, blast em up." I sinabi to dad. He prepared himself with a deep breath. And... he launched each box up onto the balcony with a quick rock launch (he was an earthbender after all). Once all the boxes were up tuktok me and dad went up to the apartment. Once inside we marveled at the decorations Mom had put in the perfect places, and everything sparkled.
"Michael, come with me. We must start cooking to finsish on time!" I nodded, and went with her while dad set up the tree.
So, for the susunod oras or so, me and Mom cooked. (I won"t write about it cause it's very boring.) And it was 6:00PM. Time to get over to the Rowe household. We all got dressed in our... casual/formal. So basically it was the clothes that looked BEST on us. My hair was not styled just combed neatly.
We all piled into our silver truck. There was barely any sitting room with the pagkain and gifts on most of the seats. We drove through pasko traffic which took a good 10 minutes. But got there on time.
We pulled up to the Rowe's heavily decorated house. We all got out of our truck each carrying something. We walked up the snowy walkway and rung the very loud doorbell. Mrs. Rowe answered the door and welcomed us in with open arms. It was perfectly warmed inside and there was a roaring fire. (Probably came from Zuko) Mrs. Rowe introduced Dad to everyone and the awatara gang who were in there traditional Chinese clothes. Everyone was happy that we were here and the kids almost immediately trying the pagkain we brought, however the awatara kids were unsure of the hipon mold we made. (A hipon dip that is cooled in a mold, in the shape of a fish)
Most of the night was plenty of chatting and joke telling. Aang and the others re-told the adventures they had in their nakaraan life but I already knew all of them thanks to the show. So I walked out in the back laughing as Aang told the story of the pentapox in Omashu.
I sat in a chair while making a perfect snowman. I heard the sliding glass door behind me open and the laughter from inside came to my ears. The door was closed. I turned around and saw that Kayla had come to sumali me. She pulled up a chair in silence. She sat down. "The stars sure a beutiful tonight, aren't they?" Kayla sinabi in a sweet voice. "They sure are." I replied. I smiled at her. She smiled back. In the distance I could hear a slow dance song being played. Me and Kayla just sat there, smiling at each other as the music got louder and louder. "So," I said, "You wanna dance?" I sinabi while standing up and giving my hand to her. "Uh, sure." she sinabi sounding surprised. She gave me her hand, it was warm and she was blushing while giggling. We walked to the center of the snowy lawn. She put her feet on tuktok of mine. (She probably didn't know how to slow dance.) I smiled at her and we started dancing with the music still getting louder. The wind started blowing and it was getting warmer.
We hugged each other closely and continued dancing. The wind stopped but it kept getting warmer.
The music stopped. We both opened our eyes to see that we were on a very ornate pillar of ice. With perfectly crafted mga rosas and streamers and, lets just say it something you would see at a wedding. I looked above my head and there was mistletoe there and it had grown from a palumpong five feet below us. AWKWARD. I looked into Kayla's eyes and they shimmered with happiness and... something else. We both jumped off the pillar and I melted it as we walked into the house holding hands. Everyone was gathered around the puno and susunod to it was a Santa Clause with Eli on his lap. "Ho ho ho." The Santa sinabi in a tone that was not convincing. I saw that it was Zuko in that red suit. Because he had a scar on his left eye. The younger Rowe children were crowding around him saying, "Put me on your lap, Santa." The awatara children were hiding behind there parents unsure of who the intruder was and why he was here. I started cracking up. "Hey Michael," Kayla sinabi "Whose that?" she pointed to Zuko dressed up. "That's a man called Santa Clause. On pasko he comes to your house and leaves presents under the pasko tree." I sinabi between laughs.
Once everyone sat on Zuko's lap, "Santa" left and Zuko returned. He walked up to a laughing Katara saying, "That was the most fun I've had in a while." He sinabi while smiling and giving Katara a kiss.
(Yes, they got married. I'll tell you why in a later article.)
Everyone passed out there presents and the kids started playing with there little toys. It was 9:30 and me, Mom, and Dad left. Saying how this was the best pasko party we had been to ever. I couldn't agree more.
We returned to our apartment and we immediately went to bed. I was asleep the segundo my head hit the pillow.
Please comment, I know very bad and cheesy.
