Like bakes said, she gets everything she wants because she is the 'Avatar'. She whines about everything. Whines about having to train. Never has to face the consequences. Whines about not getting her way. Whines about loosing three of her bending in front of a NON-bender. Gets her bending back without no work at all. Suddenly gets her airbending without any hard work. Gets the guy because she wants him. And so forth.

Oh, I've met spoiled people. Korra works very hard (which most "spoiled" people don't do), at least to me. And I must say Korra is not spoiled in my opinion. I'd "whine" about loosing my bending too, heck, I grew up with it! Why wouldn't I whine about that? She wasn't trying to offend Asami at all (and I'm sure Asami wasn't offended) she was just really angry and upset that she'd worked so hard to master these elements and now they were taken from her. If Asami wasn't there, she still would've whined. And Korra did work for airbending IMO it's just that this spiritual stuff doesn't come easy to her at all.

joy: *facepalm* Worked? How? By complaining about her training all the time? Pretty much telling Tenzin 'screw training and spirits, I'm gonna insult bending by fighting for money with it'. Then magically gets it without doing nothing to earn it? Airbending IS freakin spiritual, if you don't master that, you can't bend air. And she was a freakin 5 year old, bending all the elements. But it's what also makes her a Mary-Sue, being a master without no work at all. Like some kind of flawless god or something. While Aang, it took him threw the whole series to learn everything.
She had freakin air left, she is the Avatar, not some 2 year old child. She didn't loose all of it, just three of them. While Lin lost ALL her bending, and was acting mature about it. She uses her power to get what she wants, threating those people in the park with it. And once that power was gone, she just cried about it. She cries about everything, the littlest things that don't go her way. Because she is SPOILED, thinking she can have everything she wants, because people give it to her. If I was Tenzin I would have smacked her in the face.

Korra was really frustrated that this wasn't coming easy to her. I'm sure many of us do what she does when when we work hard at something but still don't get it. Or when something doesn't come easy to us. So I guess when other people whine it's not a big deal. Um, of course Lin is going to be mature Lin she's wayy older than Korra. EVERYONE has to work to master the elements. So what if she can bend all the elements at age 4? That doesn't mean she's mastered them. And a mary-sue is a perfect girl character with absolutely no flaws at all. Korra has flaws so therefore she isn't a mary-sue. Besides, ATLA was about Aang mastering the elements and defeating the firelord before summer. LOK is about Korra mastering air and taking down the equalists (sorry if that's spelled wrong). Do people really want Korra to do the same thing Aang did or something? And so what if she didn't loose all of it. She spent her whole life in that compound "freaking" mastering those three elements and she felt like it was a part of her and that she couldn't be the Avatar if she didn't have them. She felt like she couldn't do her duty as an Avatar and she felt like she failed RC. I don't know about you guys, but I'd be frustrated as hell. I worked so hard to take down this guy, I didn't even take him down, and now I lost the three elements that I grew up with? I'll say it again, I'd be frustrated too and I would cry. Just because Lin is "humble" doesn't mean Korra is going to be humble too.

Here are my reasons as to why I think Korra is spoiled.

1.) Korra wants Asami's boyfriend. ----> Mako comes running to her! She gets him because he miraculously is in love with Korra after they share a kiss and he can't see that he already has a great gf.

2.) Korra wants to master airbending ---> Korra masters airbending in one episode! AMON is the one who unlocks her ability. NOT KORRA. Korra couldn't be bothered to train with Tenzin and when she attempted to train, she couldn't focus long enough. And she was too lazy to work for it because it did not come easy to her. Korra didn't master any spiritual connection, nor did she unlock her inner chakras or open her chi, like Aang had to do with ALL HIS BENDING.

3.) Korra needs to defeat Amon ---> Korra miraculously defeats him without her bending! Korra may have fought Amon, but Korra is NOT the one who ousted/defeated him. Yes, Korra attempts to share his secret, but no one believes her. IT IS AMON HIMSELF who was his own defeater. He accidentally showed his bending to the public. AND KORRA TAKES CREDIT FOR THIS *in Rebel Spirits* (which really pisses me off).

4.) Korra loses her bending ---> Korra miraculously gets ALL of her bending back because she hits a "low point." This one by far irks me the most. I understand that Korra is upset; that's understandable.
However, I resent that Aang comes flying in to save the day:
"Hey Korra.....you've hit a low point. Let me give you all your bending back, give you a spiritual connection that you couldn't do on your own/be bothered to make, and here's also the power to restore other people's bending too. Let me give you everything on a silver platter because you've earned it by not doing a damn thing this season but fuss about your "struggles as the avatar," your boyfriend, and probending. Enjoy all of this for not doing shit." ~ Thanks Aang.

These are just a few reasons as to why I think Korra is really spoiled. Sorry if anyone finds this offensive. This is just my opinion and this is all I saw this season, which was a huge bummer for this avatar fan. :/

@pumpkinqueen: Well, that's just how you and me perceived it. With all the events that happened this past season, we've interpreted Korra as spoiled, whereas Korra fans have seen Korra as selfless.

I wouldn't say either side is complete and utter truth, but rather, we should look at it in the middle. Everything is always in that damn grey area, so we could try to see it from both sides. All of these debates/disagreements have been black and white. :/

Well just to tell you she mastered Airbending cuz she practiced for months (Becuase in ep11 she says "A few months ago i was at the South Pole completing my firebending training and now...) and she couldn't make a single wave of air! Then she sees how someone who she loves is about to get his bending taken , she freaks out and air bends , which repays her hard word and training!
And pumpkin plz plz god plz don't call her a Mary Sue! No character deserves to be called a mary sue!
She hadn't mastered the 3 elements when she was 5 , she could just use them ok! In ep2 it's even shown that she lacks modern bending tactics! And she learns how to pro-bend working hard and training , the fact that it's not shown on-screen doesn not matter!

And a Mary Sue is a flawless character that's really pretty and is the strongest character in the univerce! The fact that Korra is the Avatar does not make her the strongest character!And Korra has tons of flaws and she doesn't whine about training, she whined one time and realised that she was wrong and apologised!
And about Makorra , yeah she wasn't right to do that , but i don't get what's the problem that she and Mako got together? It's a kid's show , where the main character gets his/her love interest! Same happened with Aang , his affection towards Katarra was implied when he first saw here and in the next eps! Korra's affection on Mako was also implied in ep2 and 3 and so on! She got the guy so what? Aang also got the girl?

PLEASE STOP BASHING KORRA!

Korra is not spoiled. I know a lot of spoiled people and she is definitely not one of them. If ANYTHING, Asami is the spoiled one. Living in a mansion and getting everything she wants. But that's not even the point, stop bashing characters -__- You don't like them, okay, respect the fact that others do.

I'm not bashing Korra. If you want to like her, that's fine. I choose not to like her.

I personally find her spoiled because of my reasons stated above.
I definitely think that Amon aided Korra in achieving airbending; Korra trained maybe twice in the entire season and attempted to learn airbending, but gave up because she didn't get it on the first try. I don't see any dedication or effort put in whatsoever.
And the problem with Makorra is that Korra cheated. Cheating is wrong, no matter what. That shows the kind of person that both Mako and Korra are.......and it isn't very good. It's fine if Makorra wants to get together, but the thing that bothers me the most is that both Mako and Korra do not apologize for their actions. Korra apologizes to Bolin, and Mako to Asami, but Mako should have apologized to his own brother and Korra should have apologized to Asami. But they don't. And even their horrible behavior goes unpunished. This is why I find Korra spoiled in this retrospect. Nothing happens to Korra; she does not suffer any consequences for her SELFISH actions.


Sidenote: HOW IN THE WORLD IS ASAMI SPOILED!? Because she has money and lives well? Because she is a 17 year old girl living with her father (the man that is genetically and physically responsible for her life) who has made his money off of a successful business!? Asami has been the most selfless character this entire season. She PAYS for KORRA's team to enter the probending tournament, she BUYS them new outfits, she OPENS up her home to them when they need a place to stay, she HELPS team Korra every chance she gets, she TAKES KORRA'S SIDE OVER HER OWN FATHER, she GIVES UP her wealth, her mansion, her rich lifestyle (EVERYTHING) for Korra, and hell, she even lets Korra have a spin at her own boyfriend. I'd say Asami has been the most selfless character, always concerned for the safety of everyone else, dedicated to doing the right thing, and always sweet to everyone, even those who betrayed her. And this is what Asami gets...........she is unappreciated, people think she is the shallow, spoiled girl, and she is shit on by her own teammates. -___- Despicable.

I don't think Asami is spoiled at all. In fact I don't think anyone in this series is "spoiled".
