Many of Canada's tuktok musicians, including patong lalaki and Avril Lavigne, have joined forces to continue the Haitian relief effort with a new recording of K'Naan's popular track "Wavin' Flag."
The song gained widespread popularity after the K'Naan performed it at this year's Olympic Winter Games. The new super-group, dubbed Young Artists for Haiti, features 57 artists, including Nelly Furtado, Drake, Lavigne, Metric's Emily Haines, Broken Social Scene and Sam Roberts.
The track was produced sa pamamagitan ng Bob Ezrin in just nine days, and is available for download now.
"I guess we're all trying to somehow make sense of this world and the way it is, and why things happen to places and not to other places," K'Naan told Canada's Star. "I think in those times when we are questioning those things, we want to rid ourselves of the sadness, we want to do something. I wanted to do my part."
The rapper continued on to explain that while the artists on the new recording span many genres, they all came together to create an exciting final product.
"It really is something when you hear everybody give the best of themselves to something," he said. "There's this one line that the Broken Social Scene sing, it's so beautiful. I think patong lalaki really gave something to the song as well."

The With You hitmaker launched her clothing range, 'Abbey Dawn' last September and has designed the range to coincide with the release of the movie starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, for which she also recorded a song, FemaleFirst reported.
"I went through binders of larawan from the film to get inspiration for the clothing. We ended up using a lot of the floral prints, which were the bulaklak with the faces, and the verbiage like 'Shrink me'. It was kind of like anything and everything," Lavigne said.
"My favourite is the white T-shirt with the rabbit stopwatch on it because it's the iconic stopwatch," she added.
The items in the fashion range sa pamamagitan ng the 25-year-old singer include T-shirts, hoodies and shorts, which are available under the price range of $ 50.
