Authors note: wow it's been a while. I still pag-ibig this character, so here's another short story for Azula after her breakdown. This focuses in how things people say, no matter who those ppl are, can cripple another's soul.
"Look at the spoiled princess! She thinks she's so royal!" "Look at how she walks with her nose up in the clouds! Sure she's powerful, but she's screaming on the inside." "Such a brat. And look at her hair."
Azula felt the cold cell floor against her palms and began to crawl somberly towards the cot at the other end of the room. Her vision was still blurred sa pamamagitan ng the familiar vestige of tears. "The things they all sinabi about me. They were all right, Mother." Azula hopped into her cot and covered her face with a single cupped hand. "The servants, Mother. They made a fool of me. That's why I hated them. They made me a laughing stock. I wanted to banish them all. They made fun of my hair." The girl began to weep, but no tears came. Instead came a resounding headache and a familiar soreness in her pale throat. Suddenly, a hushed whisper had filled the damp cell air. "Azula, you treated them like dogs. They just feared you, sweetie. They were coping with humor." "But they hurt me.", cried the distressed mental patient. "They called me a brat. They sinabi I was...a monster." sa pamamagitan ng now, Azula was lying down, still covering her face as if the voice of her mother had caused even greater shame. "Sweetie, they were afraid." "I DON'T CARE! I always wanted to be one of them. They laughed together and talked about their troubles together. And they always had one another, Mommy. I had nobody. Not Mai, not Ty Lee, not Father, and certainly not you!" "Goodbye Azula. I see you do not want to talk to me at the moment." With that, the cell went cold and Azula felt a chilled breeze come thought the single barred window above her cot. "Goodbye, Mother." Azula pressed her face into her unan and let out a woeful scream. As always, time pressed on, neither stopping nor waiting for the broken princess to catch up and not a sound could be heard at the facility save for her tortured sobs. "They broke me, Mother. They broke me."
