The Stars of ‘Big Hero 6′ Are Ready for Their Disney Parks Debut

Hiro Hamada and his buddy, a huggable robot named Baymax, are flying into theaters in 3D on Friday in Disney’s new comedy adventure, “Big Hero 6.” And starting this weekend, you’ll be able to see them in person at Disney Parks!
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort, look for Hiro and Baymax inside The Magic of Disney Animation attraction, where you’ll find recreations of Hiro’s garage workshop and the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology labs seen in the film. When Hiro and his robot companion head west to the Disneyland Resort, you’ll find them in Tomorrowland near the Starcade and Magic Eye Theater, where you can also catch a special exclusive sneak peek of “Big Hero 6.”
I caught an early preview of “Big Hero 6” myself, and I can tell you the film is fantastic! I can’t wait to take my kids to see it this weekend. They recently got some of the toys for their birthday, and I’m sure we’ll be out at the park soon to spend time with their new favorite characters.

Who will they be replacing? Also, What happened to Minnie’s greeting spot?

Ryan – If you’re referring to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, they’ll be appearing in the same location that used to host Wreck-It Ralph. Ralph and Vanellope can now be seen in “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.” Minnie Mouse still appears daily in her special location at The Magic of Disney Animation.
Can’t to see Hiro and Baymax at Disneyland this weekend! Also seeing the movie this Friday!

Emmanuel – The movie is so great! You’re going to love it!
Wow! We will be at Hollywood Studios next Friday, and my son is so excited to meet Baymax. We’re thrilled he will be there for him to meet!
Do they start meeting tomorrow (Friday)? I saw the movie last weekend and loved it. I cannot wait to meet Hiro and Baymax!

Stephanie – Their location is open now!
At Disneyland will this just be a standby line or will the mandatory Fastpass like return time system be in effect with this meet and greet? Hoping to take my 3 year old to see them this weekend but not sure if we can get there right at opening! We are SO excited!!

Lauren – No Fastpass or return time ticket is required. Please just check with Cast Members on the day of your visit, regarding specific appearance times.
So this is why I couldn’t play my usual arcade games in Starcade. I was the only person dressed as Yokai for Halloween. And yes it’s a great film, awesome to have gotten the nice AP screening for it (not to mention the giveaway of the Pop! vinyl Baymax).
