Brennan lay in bed, staring blankly up at the ceiling. She rolled onto her side to she her alarm clock glowing red in the dark. 3:45am. But she couldn't sleep, not today. It was her first araw back with Booth after they had a vacation. Three whole weeks in Guatmala without him, now she was finally tahanan and ready to work with him. But she wanted to do madami than work with him. She could never tell, colegues were out of bounds for relationships. She was too professional for that, she had her reputation at stake. The only way she could be with him was in her books. Her new bestseller Bone and Bred was centred around a serial killing family and a hot romance between and fbi agent and a forensic anthropologist. She lifted the sheets of her and rose out of bed, only she would know who that book was really about.

Seeley Booth was already in the shower. Letting the hot water wash over him he was excited and nervous about the araw ahead. He had been anxious to be with her all vacation, and in a few hours he would be. He had brought her a fountain pen as a present, ginto plated he had remembered her loved of writing. He had made a simple inscription on the pen: Love Seeely. He knew that those two words were enough to tell her his feelings about her. He had been alongside her for nearly 4 years, and although she had been hard to get along with in the beginning, she had grown on him. Now, he had fallen hopelessly, he he hope she had fallen as deep and hard.

Brennan was showered, dressed, made-up and nearly ready for work when the doorbell rang.
"Ready to catch some madami bad guys, Bones?"
Booth was standing in front of her, holding a box in his hands.
"Ummm, sure but, what's the box. I presume that its some form of evidence, but I really think a bow is un-necesarry, they're human remains."
"There not bones..." Booth handed over the box, "open it."
She tentatively opened the box, her delicate hands gracefullt opening it.
"Booth...I don't know..." she was unsure how to react, the pen was beautiful. She picked it up and inspected it. She read the inscription and looked at Booth.
"Temperence..." Booth was almost whispering, but he didn't get any further. He leaned in and kissed her.

After what seemed like an eternity of bliss, she broke away.

"You didn't need to buy me anything. You're all that I wanted."
