Ok, I just saw the new episode on Monday, and I just have to say some stuff about it. First, who else thought it was hilarious when she walked down right into the middle of the fight, and everyone just kept backing up saying "Is she pregnant?" and "Get outta the way!" and stuff like that? Also, when she went into labor, why didn't they just go to the prison hospital? Instead they tried to drive 10 miles away! And then they didn't even make it! And if you're driving 60 miles an hour, then you can drive 10 miles in 10 minuets, but they couldn't get there in time. Who has a baby that fast? I've heard of people being in labor for up to 48 hours! How can they not make a 10 minuto drive? And even if they only drive 30 miles an hour, that's still only 20 minutes! Then there was the whole manger thing. When I saw that, I started rubbing my temples and saying "Oh god, they're really gonna do this, aren't they? Oh dear god..." I mean, it was just so cheesy, and the way they did it, it almost seemed forced. Like they had that part planned from the beginning, and they were trying to build the whole episode around it, but couldn't quite get it to work. And what makes Booth qualified to deliver a baby? And what about the umbilical cord and all the germs? I mean, if you're not going to make it to the hospital, and all you can get too is a stable, with a horse, it seems like the best choice would be the car. I mean, it's a big SUV, and if they folded down the back seats, it seems like a much madami logical choice. Don't get me wrong, I liked the episode, it just seemed like they could have done the birth a lot better. Other than that, it was great. And I thought it was really sweet how they named her Christen Angela. A lot better than Michael Staccato Vincent Hodgens. I mean, I feel really bad for that kid. Try fitting that name on a aklatan card! But what I really want to know is, what's her last name? I know usually you go with the father's name, but knowing Brennan, she'll be pretty stubborn, and say "Anthropologically speaking, parents only did that so that the father would know that baby was his" or something like that. So I can't wait to find that out. Anyway, I think I'm out of rant topics, so I'm gonna go now. Thanks for listing!

maddelura Well, a couple of things! My sisters birth took 12 minutes from the water went until the baby was out! She gave birth to my nephew outside in -10 celsius with her husband as a midwife! He knew nothing about delivering babies, but thankfully it was my sisters second child. I would thing Bones as a doctor could give Booth sme direction and Booth as a military man and an FBI agent would now some first aid stuff at least. So even though it might seem unbelievable and it might be a bot stupid it does actually happen.

CZGIronMan I agree with Maddelura,i mean Brennan is very intelligent and strong woman,she knows everything is about to know about human anatomy so going in labor for her wil be like riding a bycycle,well not literally but you know what i mean :P same is with Booth the guy obviously sense he was so much concern about Brennas health and the baby so he knew something about labor because he was pushing her to get the brith in a hospital all the time.One thing that wasnt quite understanding for me is how Brennan after the birth was up on foot happy as a clown,at least i know that woman are very very tired after labor,usually they are in bed for days or im wrong on this one?!So either she is very very strong woman or im missing something here?!

JoeyFanGirl @maddelura, I know that sometimes people have given birth in less than an hour, but that usually happens when it's not their first child.

deedeedot I think the whole point of making Bones having a baby in stable was the fact that Booth is religious and Maria gave birth to baby Jesus the same way. This is a TV show not real life TV. I got a freind who had baby in an hour after her watter broke and it was her first baby. You can't predict it and as Brennan knew how she feels about delivering the baby.

kspilstead I know the end of the episode didn't make a lot of sense, but my guess is after the baby was born, they went to a hospital. There they would've been able to fix the umbilical cord, check the health of the baby and Brennan before sending them home. And some time must've passed between the birth and their arrival back home, because how else would Cam, Angela and Hodgins, and Daisy and Sweets have had time to make them dinners and plan an arrival party? When I watched the episode with my brother, his question was why didn't they call for an ambulance if they couldn't make it to the hospital. I still loved the episode, and I understand that network TV has time constraints on shows, so maybe that's why we couldn't get all of the info.

LexisFaith I think that the writers can write what ever they like. Don't dog on the kid's name. They don't call micheal by his whole name. And if you are having a baby, it doesn't matter if you know your stuff or not, that baby is comming anyway. Christine is fine, so it doesn't really matter anyway.

Skygirl23 At least they called Michael Michael Vincent and left the other out. And as a library worker I can vouch that the whole name isn’t usually needed on a card, just first and last. I figure it’s just TV, births are always not quite realistic. And it probably wasn’t a matter of being qualified, just having to do it, though he should’ve called 911 at least. And they were going for drama and metaphors and stuff. Btw I liked Lance having a cord when he was born. TV births often skip the cord. Although why Angela told Daisy she had an epidural when she didn’t is a mystery.
