Effy`s mum dying...yeep i`ve always thought so. But that`s what fascinates me the most about Skins...that it can be unpredictable in a good & a bad way but it will STILL keep you interested no matter what. It`s THE show. Not just because of the characters & the storylines but also because of all the feeling involved.
SKINS IS DEEP. That`s why i absolutely adore it to bits...LOL.

I totalllyy agree with you, when it comes to skins, the characters dont only make the show, the show is sooo great because of all aspects of it,
like eg OTH too me its over, with brucas its nothing to me , its changed (even naley arnt the same) and its different and Mark fucked it over BUT skins, if they didn't have cook right, i think i would still love it, because cook isnt the reason for me watching it, his just apart of it were as brucas to me where oth, before it was ruined.
Skins isnt ur average american drama, and thats what i love, theres no bullshit it too it, its as real as it can get (most times) lol

You make perfect sense. There`s a difference...DUH. Skins = quality,emotional depth OTH = bad written american crap.
It`s 100% the same with me. At some point i realised i was watching OTH only for BL, not for the show itself. Cause the show was bullshit anyway. SO my main reason for watching it was BL. And since BL got ruined [not in our hearts. In our hearts they`ll always be BL] there was just not a single reason for me to waste my time, sit back and watch Mark`s shit on screen. Not a single reason.

I don`t watch Skins for Effy or Naomi [my fave characters] or for Freffy [my ship] or for my guilty pleasure [Cook/Naomi], or for Naomily....i watch Skins because ALL of them. All the characters, the friendship bondings, the storylines...EVERY little thing is perfect about it. Even the dialogues and the monologues...it`s fucking deep & realistic.
