From both series do envolve vampires, vampire couples,staking vampires, and other supernatural things. Also Buffy the Vampire Slayer does have Bampira with souls but not in True Blood. And True Blood talks about Bampira that are known out in the world. Like everyone knows about Bampira that do exist.

On the epsiode showed that there was an explosion and Eric was trying to save Sookie from the explosion of Silver chains. Eric was badly wound and Sookie had no choice but save him. Sookie was disgusted from the information that Bill gave her that she will have sexual attractions towards to Eric. Bill was not happy that Sookie is now connected to Eric too.
