they were all relieved to see her back, but i think giles was the happiest. you could see it in his eyes when he saw her (makes me teary every time). joyce and willow were the next happiest i think.

I thought the way most of them acted towards Buffy was a little stupid. I get that they were making the point that the characters were hurt and upset Buffy had just left like that and worried them, but really I don't get the logic of "our friend was in such a bad place after her boyfriends death she ran away and we all missed her. The best way to deal with this emotionally fragile person is if we all either yell at her or outright avoid her, that'll end well"

i was getting annoyed at everyone too! giles was the only one who acted normal towards her.

Totally. I spent the entire episode wishing Buffy would give them the telling off they all deserved. She had to kill the love of her life at 17 and they're pissed she didn't deal with it well enough? I'd like to see how Willow would have dealt with killing Oz for the greater good!

The dumbest scene was at Giles' house after Buffy just got back and she's trying to arrange to hang out with them and they're all like 'well, we already have plans to see a movie or whatever' If your friend who you care about just got back after vanishing without a trace as if you'd put former plans to hang out with your boy/girl friend above spending time wth them. that was so out of character and made it seem like they didn't miss her or care she was back.

I was most annoyed with Willow coz firstly I think she was Buffy's best friend at that point, and got how much she loved Angel more than the rest. Secondly coz I thought Willow was the most bitchy about it. Joyce and Xander snapped and said wat they were thinking but Willow just ignored Buffy and even arranged to hang out with her then just didn't show. Cold.

Sorry to rant but their dumb behaviour towards Buffy is why this is one of my least favourite episodes.
