Emily woke up early. She told her dad not to go into work. She got up and decided to call Gillian to find out what really happened between them last night

"Hi Gillian it's Emily"

Emily was up and was making breakfast in the kitchen. Cal still wasn't up and that wasn't like him. Emily began to get worried until she heard his footsteps coming down the stairs

"Morning dad"
"Morning darling"
"You okay?"
"Yeah i didn't get a good night sleep though"
"Really?"
"Yeah i had to sleep on my stomach because of my back"

"Well it's still sore and it hurt to sleep on it so i'm guessing it will take a little while to heal"

Cal and Emily were sitting in his office. Cal was on the computer and Emily was sitting on the sopa doing her homework.

"You okay Em?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Its just you've been staring at the same page for last five minutes."
"It's just a little hard that's all"
"Well let me have look at it. I might be able to help."

Cal got up from his chair and walked across the room to his daughter. He picked up her notebook to look at the tanong she was stuck on. However instead of finding sums written down...

All that afternoon, Cal knew he wasn't right. He couldn't even identify emotions right, what he thought was happiness was actually contempt. Everyone just stared at him, looking confused but Loker looked slightly amused. After realizing what he'd done, he left room but Gillan followed.
'Cal? Cal!?.' She grabbed his arm. 'What's wrong with you today? You have never mistaken one emotion for another before.'
'I've.. I've got alot on my mind at the moment.'
'You keep using that excuse but I'm not buying it.' He looked at her for moment. 'What?.'

Cal and Gillian left the school with all the information they could get but they were not sure if they got all the information they needed

Cal and Emily were sitting in the living room. Cal was watching TV and Emily was on the laptop

"Dad?"

"Where were you today?"
"I told you. Something came up and i could get away"
"What was so important that you had to blow off spending time iwht your own daughter?"
"Look can we just leave this?"
"No. No i want to talk about it."

Cal was getting annoyed. He didn't need Emily nagging in his ear. Emily could see that he was getting angry with her but...

The susunod morning Terry messaged him saying to meet at the rendezvous at one o'clock. Cal deleted the text in case Emily or Foster started to check his phone. He never imagined he would get involved in something like this, he didn't even know what the job was. He got up and went downstairs to find Emily had already gone to school. He picked up the phone and tried calling Foster.
