Sometime after my big feud with my father, I went to LA's tabing-dagat with Simon. It was the last week of school, and I didn't have any exams. So, Simon decided that I needed a little fun, and to get away from the family drama. Simon always found paddle boarding relaxing, and the Pacific Ocean was the perfect place to do it. I decided to try it as well. We would hit the waves, and let them take us to shore. At one point, I fell off of my board, and I hit my guya muscle on a piece of coral. "Simon," I cried out to my friend. "I'm hurt." Simon said, "What?! You are hurt?" Before I could say anything else, a giant wave knocked me off of the rock I was holding on to. Simon paddled toward me and cried, "Hang on, Anthony!" He attempted to reach for me, but neither of us could reach. Fortunately, there was someone else there. Reese, a girl we had class with, was a lifeguard, and she knew what to do. Paddling as hard as she could, Reese made it to me, but not before I went under the water. I thought that this was the end, but I felt her hand grab me and pull me out of the water. As she helped me to shore, I coughed up salty water. Exhausted and in pain, I collapsed on the beach. I was breathing so heavily that one could easily see my diaphragm moving. Simon finally made it to my lifeless body. The only thing moving was my diaphragm. I opened my eyes and saw Reese and Simon. Simon asked, "Are you okay, Anthony?" I said, "Yeah." Reese asked, "Are you really okay, or are you just saying you're okay?" I said, "I think I'm okay." I attempted to get up. As I struggled to get up, I winced in pain. I had ripped my guya muscle on the piece of coral. I attempted to walk home, limping badly. Simon held me up and told me not to put pressure on my damaged leg. My mom came and took me to the hospital. I was told not to walk unless I needed to use the bathroom. Simon, Charles, Sherry, and Utah came every araw to check on me. Reese came over as well. I hero worshiped her for saving my life. I even asked her to be my girlfriend, and she accepted the offer. We started dating that summer.
