My mga kaibigan sinabi this and made me mad!

I think the Lovely Buto and Twilight are completely different. They can't really be compared.

The Lovely Buto is based on the father not giving up on his daughter's case. It is love. But it's a fatherly love.

Twilight has to do with two teenagers falling in love. The "obsessive" pag-ibig where the other person appeals to you due to attraction. You see each other, you talk, you court, you fall in love.

These two can't really be compared in my opinion. And can I say something? It's been...too long since I have debated with anyone. Sometimes, it's hard to deal with those types of fans that can't see eye to eye or at least be objective. But same thing goes to the antis.

Both fans and non-fans of the Twilight series have their kooks. I wouldn't dwell on it though. In the end, it's all fiction. People take from books what they will, whether you find the message good or bad in your opinion. But people take from books what they will due to what they have experienced.

Maybe that's not the case for your friends, but remember, not all Twilight fans are like this.

I know insane Twi-hards who should be detained, but insulting a book that actually has a good, dramatic, climactic plot is cold. I hate when those people who pag-ibig the plotless void with an mansanas on the cover bash good books like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. It makes me sick.
You can tell your friend that The Lovely Buto has madami plot than all four Twilight books plus Meyer's novella combined has and to try pagbaba the books instead of watching movie preivews.

My best friend sinabi Meyer is the best writer in the world, she sinabi she wrote the best series ever, she insulted HP and PJO at least 5 times in every sentence but this is a scandal!

I am sorry for over-reacting but I am really angry now.

People have their different opinions but honestly I think that your friend was doing no madami than attacking the book you spent so long to read. I can't say too much but I can say this, there is no need to attack each others opinions or get into an argument that could ruin the friendship. I'm sure nether of you would like that.

People have the right to voice thier own opinions but i can understand how you feel if they voiced thier nakakita in that childish "It is stupid, omg i pag-ibig twlight" sort of manner, if they are constructive and aren't rude then thier argument is reasonable, if it's mean well it's mean and they shouldn't be like that. I think you shouldn't really bring up the pagtatalo again, as i don't think you'll be able to persuade them, but if they say thier opinions about the book (and not in a constructive way) then you give them your opinions about twilight! Can i just say well done for bieng intelligent and pagbaba a book other than the vampire teenage genre! i mean there's nothing wrong with pagbaba vampire teenage genre, but there is when you are obsessed with it, and you disagree wth everything else :) Hope this helps :D x

I think you should have accepted that she has a different opinion than you, and explain calmly to her that she should do the same, then ilipat on.

The Lovely Buto has a stronger and madami powerful message of pag-ibig than Twilight could ever dream of having. Even if Twilight was a good and well written series, it would still lose. Family pag-ibig beats out obsessive teenage crush pag-ibig any day.

It was incorrect of them to say that Twilight is better. No book is inherently better or worse than any other. They can be better or worse from a literary perspective, but enjoyment of a story is too subjective to be broken down into "objectively better" and "objectively worse" :)

I pag-ibig Twilight, but I didn't like The Lovely Bones. That doesn't mean Twilight is better, it just means that I enjoyed it more. That's not the same at all! :) You're mga kaibigan weren't quite right.
