	vivalavida picked Elena remembering Damon's confession.: I honestly think that the "I Love You" of 2x08 happened for a reason. I mean, it would be really sad and bad from the writers to don't give Elena the chance to know about that flawless moment. I've never seen a human and a real Damon more than in that episode..was pure perfection. And I think that if Elena will remember that (and beside the "I love you" thing, how Damon really was ready to give up on her to don't hurt Stefan and for do the right thing) and so this give me a high possibility to think that in this season finale we can see their first kiss too. 	delenasalvatore picked Elena remembering Damon's confession.: I would be pleasantly surprised/shocked if there was a kiss this season, I think it's probably too early and we're looking at sometime in Season 3 at the earliest. Any of the things on the list have a good chance of happening, but the scene in 2x08 was so huge, it would be to the show's detriment if it didn't have any consequences at all. I mean, if the writers decide to leave it until next season, a lot of fans could have forgotten about it (because so many other things will have happened in between), and it will have lost momentum. So on the whole, it would not be good writing if they left it too late. Just for the record, although Damon compelled her to forget his confession, I'm sure Elena remembers Elijah ripping her necklace from her and casting it aside - and also that she wasn't wearing it when she got home. Doesn't she have questions about how she found it again??
