well i don't think so,and if it happens and that's a big IF it will be a wist of time and it wouldn't benfite anyone at all it will be useless,and i'm talking from experince with bones in S6 the writers broth this new love inters for booth and guess what it was useless it made me stop watching the show,and for the first time since the 6 years i have been watching bones it made wannoa hit booth in every epsidoe

and because they waisted a whole year/season with this stupid useless not at all nessary new love inters we the b&b fans didn't have our so long waited moments(like their first date,their second kiss,their first time....) no we skipped all of that so long waited moments to her being pergrant(which i like but not love) it's not i don't like the fact that they r a family right now,but we wanted to enjoy our moments

so i reaaly hope that doesn't happen because a)it will just waist time b)it will be a verey useless SL c)we don't any more proof thatt damon's love for elena is stronger than anything d)it will ruien this 3 years of bulid up because i a sure some people (not a lot but some) will love the new paring with damon and when they don't work out and he comes back to elena 1)they would hate them or want damon with the other girl 2)us loyal DE fans will always question his love for elena

And don't forget the words of JD " if u loved the first person u wouldn't fallen for the other" or something like that so since this applies to Elena and it also applies to Damon so even IF the writers do give him a love interest then all of their hard work to bulid this amazing bulid up for DE would for nothing abd the same thing with us all that we loved about DE will be destroyed so BIG NO on this idea

I honestly don't believe it is possible for Damon now. He is so caught up in Elena, it is impossible for him to go back and try to bury his love for her in the arms of another woman. I think he realizes that it is useless. Why waste his time trying to deny that? That story has already been done with Andi, and it would repetitious. Damon has come a long way since then. Elena is his life now, even if he believes she only loves Stefan.

I hope this doesn't happen for a number of reasons.
1. It would get in the way of DE's attraction/relationship/love, and at that point in the show, it would be much greater than it is now.

2. DE are already 'angsty' enough, what with the triangle and Stefan.

3. We already know Damon loves Elena, so it would be pointless to introduce another love interest for him; it's not like it would be at all convincing.

4. It would create negative drama for both of them. If they both love each other and want a relationship between them to work, then all it would do is stir up trouble. Sometimes introducing a temporary love interest into the mix works because the person suddenly realises that he/she is attracted to someone, but in other cases, it's a bad thing. I think in DE's case, Elena probably already knows how she feels about Damon, and if she doesn't acknowledge it, then she will have to confront it at the end of the series. She can do this without a new love interest for Damon. It will be something she has to face on her own. I don't think it would be at all helpful in the progression of their relationship to be honest.
