Willie, Julia, and Quentin knew that Barnabas was vampire and I think that was enough. Too many people knowing would have been dangerous.

I agree. If anyone else knew, Barnabas would have had to flee collinsport.

Julia would never have betrayed Barnabas, and I don't think Willie and Quentin would have either. But anyone else might not have been so trustworthy.

Actually, two members of the Collins family did know earlier on. Carolyn and David. They completely dropped David knowing and it was never mentioned again. Carolyn forgot she had been Barnabas' victim when the Adam experiment was successful.

I think Barnabas could trust Julia and Willie. It was a shame Professor Stokes was never told, he would have been trustworthy. I'm not too sure about the rest of the Collins family (Liz, Roger, ect.) Anyone else would have been too risky.

Yes, gville. Carolyn knew because she was one of Barnabas' victims, but after she was released from his power, she just forgot. It was never mentioned again. He was just kindly cousin Barnabas to her for the remainder of the show. They also dropped David knowing. I guess after the 1795 storyline played out and they were portraying Barnabas as a more sympathetic character, they didn't want viewers to remember that he had been terrorizing a kid during his mean vampire days. lol

I would have said the 1960s Collins family if they could sympathise with him and understand what had led him to becoming a vampire. But so many people would automatically be prejudiced against him, and not give him a chance to explain or get to know him, let alone care for him or trust him. Due to all this I voted NO.
