Anyone who takes the side of either L or Light is wrong. They both have their own ideas of justice, but they both are going about it the wrong way. Argue with me all you like, but they were both way too obsessed with putting the other to death. And killing is still killing, even if its a cop killing a criminal.... Loving them both and only praying for their souls is the only way.
