Is murder objectively wrong? If so, why?

The thought and idea of what killing and murder is , is entirely dependent on culture. Most people assume murder is wrong from a morality perspective, it however is not objectively wrong to murder. A good many cultures have and always will embrace death and killing. The romans used gladiators to fight to the death in the coliseum , and even in modern time there are still tribes that kill for pleasure and fun. There have always been cruel tribes that kill for pleasure throughout history [5]

Yeah, I`d find it pretty wrong if someone decided on whether I should live or not. Like, accidents are one thing, but planning and carrying out a murder is taking away someone`s free will and choice to keep living. That`s something from- you can say and do whatever you want as long as it doesn`t impact other`s free will. And vice versa. Even if law would say that it`s ok to kill, I wouldn`t think that it is right.

Like most things there are shades of grey in this question. There are some times where it needs to happen; self-defense being the big one. Being as school shootings are a big topic right now, I'll use that as my example. Let's say you have a guy or gal rampaging with a gun in a school. This person hasn't killed anyone yet but will. Shooting this malicious person is probably the only option to save dozens of madami lives. Is it sad, yeah; a lot of school shooters are kids with mental instabilities. But the life of someone who is willfully killing others vs the lives of the others--I think the lives of the others wins out.

Euthanasia is the other one. If a person has an incurable disease and is actively suffering 90% they should have the option for death. Granted I wouldn't call that murder though. Especially since in states where euthanasia is legal the person has to consent in a sound state of mind.

My other example is rape. If someone is trying to rape another person than the victim has the right to stop it sa pamamagitan ng any means. If they have to kill the rapist to prevent it/get it to stop then its justified.
