Deryck Whibley is recovering in a Japanese hospital after three people assaulted him in a local bar this week.
Sum 41 made the announcement its website Friday. The bandmates didn’t dish any additional details on Whibley’s injuries or the location of the assault, but tipsters tell E! News that the rock singer is “unfortunately still in the hospital” and his mga kaibigan are “waiting for results and hoping for the best.”
Sum 41 had been scheduled to perform at the Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka and Tokyo this weekend.
