Why must they all be so lovable?
Why must they all be so lovable?

Oh my God...why can't my listahan ever stay the same! I swear, I feel like it's constantly changing...what am I saying; IT IS constantly changing. I can't help it! Each time I watch one of their movies, my opinion changes. Let me get one thing straight...I do not dislike ANY of them. There are some that I just LOVE, and others I just "like". So don't be offended if you find your paborito Princess low on my list. I like her...just the others a little more.

10. Tiana (#9 on my last list)
 The Determined Princess
The Determined Princess

There's lots of things that I like about Tiana, and a few that I don't. The reason I don't like her as much as the others, is because she reminds me a lot of myself; when I watch a Princess movie it's to escape, and get my mind off of "me". When I watch her, I am constantly reminded of myself, and that pretty much defeats the purpose. We're both southern, both raised primarily sa pamamagitan ng our Mothers, and work very very hard. Both of our Mothers want us to marry and settle down so they can have a grandbaby. It's not that I don't want that too, I just get tired of hearing it from her, lol. We both have dreams that don't involve "falling in love", and living "happily ever after". Tiana wanted to own a restaurant, and I want to be a writer and have my novel published. I do like her...I just like my Princesses to be dreamy, wistful and spontaneous.

9. Aurora (#10 on my last list)
 The Graceful Princess
The Graceful Princess

Aurora has moved up one spot since my last list. The only reason she beat out Tiana is because she is hopeful, and loves to dream. She's not in her film for very long, but for the few precious moments we have with her, she is absolutely charming. She's sweet, polite, and has the most gorgeous blonde curls I have ever seen. I pag-ibig the way she and Phillip meet, even though if that happened in real life, the guy would be considered a pervert and would end up in jail! I pag-ibig how romantic they are with each other. My puso breaks for her when she finds out she is supposed to marry a Prince, when she has just met the boy of her dreams, but I feel so much better when he kisses her at the end, and she realizes her Prince IS the man of her dreams. It makes me burst with joy for her.

8. Mulan( #7 on my last list)
 The Selfless Princess
The Selfless Princess

I seriously pag-ibig her. I know I've sinabi it a dozen tiems, and most of you pagbaba have as well; there isn't a negative thing to really say about her. She's thoughtful, brave, protective and willing to die for her Father. Not many of us could do what she did. She's very smart, and a quick thinker. I don't like the way her movie ended...it would have been better in my opinion, if they would have ended after the touching scene where she and her Father reunite. But no, it ended it with Shang coming over unannounced and pagganap totally awkward, and chickens...yep, that's right. Chickens. Really, Disney? You end an EPIC movie that way?

7. Pocahontas (#8 on my last list)
 The Eager Princess
The Eager Princess

I've loved her since I was a little girl. I used to be jealous of her, for being able to be outside all the time, climbing trees, swimming, spying on hot guys...well, maybe not that last one considering I was 10 when the movie came out. I always thought she was noble, and intelligent. Now that I'm grown however, I find her to be less so. After she meets John Smith, she gets a little boring, and suddenly acts clueless. For instance, she sits around and mopes because he is going to be killed sa pamamagitan ng her Father. I guess she never realized she could stop it, until Meeko gives her the compass. I still pag-ibig Poca though. "Just Around the Riverbend" is my #2 paborito song. I pag-ibig to hear her sing. She has an amazing voice.

6. Rapunzel (#5 on my last list)
 The Creative Princess
The Creative Princess

She is so adorable and cute. I pag-ibig to watch her grow throughout her film. She starts off shy and scared. After meeting Flynn and beginning her journey, she realizes how outgoing she really is. She immediately fits in with the guys at the Snuggly Duckling, and she is a lot braver than she ever expected to be. This was the first Disney movie I can say I honestly enjoyed watching since Mulan.

5. hasmin (#6 on my last list)
 The Sheltered Princess
The Sheltered Princess

hasmin is the Princess that I have always wanted to be like. She stands up for what she believes in, and ALWAYS speaks her mind. She doesn't mind confrontation, whereas I avoid it at all costs. She is lovely, funny and smart. The older I get, the madami I am becoming like her. It's about time!

4. Snow White (#2 on my last list)
 The Naive Princess
The Naive Princess

She's moved down a couple of spots, but my pag-ibig and appreciation of her has not changed. Snow White is so sweet. I find it hard not to pag-ibig her, and want to hug her. Even the mga hayop can't stay away from her. Everything about her is endearing. I pag-ibig how she always remains hopeful, no matter how crappy the situation is.

3. Ariel (#4 on my last list)
 The Passionate Princess
The Passionate Princess

Ariel and Belle are a constant battle for me. I can never decide which one I like better. As of today, sorry Ariel fans, but Belle won this round (ppv will be THRILLED). The Little Mermaid was released when I was four years old. I was in the hospital when it came out on video. I know some of you know the story (I shared it in my 'Getting to Know You' article), but I had a series of seizures and was put into a coma. The araw I woke up, one of the FIRST things out of my mouth, was that I wanted The Little Mermaid. Even though I had been "out of it" for seven days, I hadn't forgotten how badly I wanted that movie! I pag-ibig Ariel. She's fun, adventurous, spoiled, a big dreamer, and passionate about learning new things. I adore her.

2. Belle (#3 on my last list)
 The Genuine Princess
The Genuine Princess

Ok, ppv...start celebrating. Belle is now my segundo paborito Princess. My parents took me to the theatre to see Beauty and the Beast at least seven times. I was overwhelmed sa pamamagitan ng the music, the characters, and the story. Everything about the movie drew me in, and made me want to see madami and more. I just watched it last night and realized how much I pag-ibig and respect Belle (ducks out of the way of whatever item Straggy is about to hurl my way). She remains true to herself always, and she doesn't put up with the Beasts temper. She learns to pag-ibig him though, and he her. Their pag-ibig is so sweet and dear to me. I cry everytime I watch the Beast "die", even though I know what happens. It gets to me everytime!

1. Sinderella (#1 on EVERY listahan I've ever made)
 The Faithful Princess
The Faithful Princess

Shocking, I know. Who would have EVER though she would be #1 :) I don't think I need to explain why I pag-ibig her. Anyone that knows me, knows why. She makes me light up inside. I feel like a little girl anytime I see her or hear her angelic voice. I've always looked up to her; heck, I wanted to BE her when I grew up, lol. Even when I see her at Disney World I get all excited like the kids do, even though I know she isn't real, lol. She holds a very very special place in my heart, and always will.
I know we've probably had an excess of these over the last few months, but I don't care. In my humble opinion, there can never be too many artikulo defending Walt's girls. I believe Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora just as much praise and recognition as any of the Modern or Renaissance princesses. The three classic Princesses receive a large amount of criticism. They include "weak", "passive", "need a man to save them", "boring", "do nothing", "need a man to save them", among others (that last reason is so incredibly stupid and sexist). These "arguments" are beyond cliché, mind-numbing,...

 It's just an Easter Egg.Nothing more,nothing less.
It's just an Easter Egg.Nothing more,nothing less.
I know that after people have noticed that little Easter egg in nagyelo since it was released, many have developed the same theory. However,I do not agree with it and will give an explanation as to why. The theory with which I do not agree has to do with that brief moment in the film. Yes,by now, I think every major nagyelo tagahanga knows about and has seen the quick cameos of Rapunzel (with her short, brown hair) and Eugene (or Flynn,if Gusot fans still want to call him that) when Anna passes sa pamamagitan ng them during "For the First Time in Forever." From seeing these two Disney Princesses together in the same...

My listahan hasn't changed all that much but I thought after rewatching Aladdin I would write an updated list.

13. Merida- Not a fan, I'm all for female empowerment but I don't like her attitude. She is just so rude & I do not find her likeable.

12. Elsa- She just really bugs me. I can't think of any other reasons but she just aggravates me.

11. Anna- Not keen on her either. She is not as bad as the other two but I'm not a fan, moving on.

10. Tiana- She is too much of a workaholic. I get that she has dreams to run her own restaurant but she can have fun once in awhile.

9. Jasmine- hasmin has really...

Thought this was really the perfect time for this light read considering which months I think each DP represents the best. :D I did this based on personality and my perception of how those personalities relate to the 4 seasons as well as each month. I hope you guys enjoy! My apologies to non-Americans as this is heavily based on my American connotations with these months especially in regards to American holidays. Hope you guys don't mind!

November: Tiana
Thanksgiving has always been my absolute paborito #1 holiday! I pag-ibig it because it brings people together over a great meal, just like James'...

Here's my listahan of Disney Princess couples, it's primarily based on what connected with me in their relationship and what i find admirable. I do have some ifs and buts with few couples but that's just my way of looking at how a relationship grow

1. Mulan and Shang:
Theirs a relation that I actually look up to with great admiration and respect. They both were mature to handle a relationship before falling for each other. Their pag-ibig grew out of mutual trust, understanding and respect rather than romantic feelings. It is to not say that romantic feelings are not true or valuable, it's my personal...

Vincent van Gogh's Japonaiserie After Hiroshige (1887)
Vincent Van Gogh's Japonaiserie After Hiroshige (1887)
I pag-ibig art! I pag-ibig culture, history, music and I pag-ibig art. I have done some posts and presinto about the Disney Princesses in reference to music, culture and fashion but not art yet so I thought I would do that next. I like to think of the Disney Princesses as "cultured" young women who have manners, etiquette, decent universal knowledge and appreciation for the arts. So, in my theory of the Disney Princesses being cultured, albeit each at their own levels, here are the paintings that I think each Disney Princess would pag-ibig the most. (I could probably find a van Gogh for each of them as I absolutely...

Because I am still in a musical mood but also ready for the "autumn/Halloween" mood, I'd like to incorporate the two! There aren't many DP villain songs pangkalahatang but I came up with at least 9 that were good enough to use for the sake of this countdown. I rated each of the songs against how villainous the lyrics were, how villainous the music sounds, how villainous the scene that accompanies the song in the film is and how villainous is the goal of the villain (or just the villain itself) pag-awit the song? I ranked each song in the 4 categories and then ranked them pangkalahatang sa pamamagitan ng accumulative "evil"...

Okay so I tried to seek others' opinions for this who connect with Merida madami than I do. I realized that there are artikulo on here for the ranking of every princess except for Merida and I didn't think there should be any reason for her to be excluded. I always found these artikulo to be so neat though so I hope the Merida-fans will appreciate this. I'm completely open to any changes with madami input.

12. Aurora: General consensus seems to be that Merida would get along with Aurora the absolute least, most likely for their opposite in characters. Aurora rates duty, grace/manners, love/romance...

5. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs

I noticed that sadness seems to be the most popular emotion among people and it’s understandable, no matter how strong you are, nothing hits you harder than life. True you should try your best to get out of a bad situation but in the process, it’s good to make the best out of it. It’s important to be grateful and remember how blessed you are, a positive attitude goes a long way in order to enjoy your life.

4. Brave

What I really like with bravo is that it’s easy to relate to because disagreements and miscommunication...

1. The iconic song “Part of Your World,” was almost cut from The Little Mermaid.
2. “Can You Feel the pag-ibig Tonight” was also almost cut from The Lion King. Elton John, who saw the film with the song removed, told producers they needed to put it back in.
3. Aladdin’s face was modeled after Tom Cruise’s.
4. And Ariel was partially modeled after Alyssa Milano.
5. The Jungle Book was the last animated film Walt Disney personally supervised; it was released 10 months after his death.
6. John Lennon turned down Walt Disney Studios’ request for the Beatles to provide the voices of the vultures...

Ah, feminism and Disney Princess. Such a complicated relationship. Now I'm not an expert, especially being a guy but the topic of feminism in relation to the DPs has always intrigued me. I'm gonna try my hand at ranking the princesses in terms of agency, independence, heroism and other aspects to figure out which one of them is the most feminist. I'm trying to expand my Pagsulat skills so this is gonna be split into three parts, starting with the bottom four.

WARNING: No Anna and Elsa in this countdown, so let's begin.

11. Aurora
Sorry guys, but I'm one of those people who believes that feminism...

Yesterday I wrote an artikulo about my paborito song from each DP Movie, today I'm doing an artikulo about my paborito song scene from each DP Movie, the only requirement for this was that the song in the scene has to mainly be sung sa pamamagitan ng a character from the movie (this rule doesn't apply to Brave), also the song scene can of course have two songs in the scene

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs - With A Smile And A Song

This movie has many great song scenes, it was actually a bit hard to pick a favorite, but this one is currently my favorite, first of all it has one my paborito songs from the...

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs - Someday My Prince Will Come

This is my paborito DP Song, it's such a beautiful song despite it's short length, many of the lyrics are lovely and Snow White's voice is so beautiful. This song always makes me emotional everytime I listen...
