10 EDUCATED and CONSCIOUS (about PRINCESS BETROTHAL)

Aurora instantly not only understands the meanings of being betrothed and marrying a prince, thus ipinapakita she is knowledgeable/educated, but also, sa pamamagitan ng her reaction, also consciousness of their importance.

Btw, this section doesn’t mean she’s not also crying for that stranger who she wants to meet. Rather, she’s crying for all those things listed in section 9 Conflicted, and this section is an elaboration on one of them.

10a Educated/knowledgeable

In Aurora’s bedroom - if we look closely - we will see that she has TWO BOOKS! Being the 14th century (a century before Gutenberg’s printing press) not only would books be very expensive and rare but literacy rates were very low - even lower considering her demographic: sixteen, female, peasant.

My theory is that her fairy aunts home-schooled her. I don’t doubt that little girl Aurora would have asked about the kastilyo which she saw and would have asked her aunts wondering questions.

Thus, I believe that Aurora was very well educated (=at least literate) so that she might perform her royal duties both effectively and efficiently.

10b Consciousness of importance about betrothal

Throughout the movie, there are references to how important royal betrothal is:

>"Fondly had these monarchs dreamed one araw their kingdoms to unite” (Introductory narration)<

>Stefan: I warn you, Hubert, this means war.
>Hubert: What’s this all about anyway?
>Stefan: Nothing Hubert, absolutely nothing.
>Hubert: The children are bound to fall in pag-ibig with each other.

>Hubert: “Give up the throne, the kingdom, for some, some nobody? sa pamamagitan ng Harry, I won’t have it. You’re a prince, and you’re going to marry a princess!”<

Like others of that time, I believe that educated Aurora would have been conscious of what being a princess means. She would know that the royal marriage would be an alliance involving politics, economics, and peace between the two kingdoms. An alliance which effects not only them, or their subjects, but also future generations.

She has shown to be wondering/thoughtful about love, so I don’t see why she wouldn’t be wondering/thoughtful about how important it betrothal is. Without her fulfilling her role as princess, and as future queen, there is, and will be, an evident gap in the kingdom(s)

11 DUTIFUL

>Flora: This one last gift, dear child for thee, the symbol of thy royalty. A crown to wear in grace and beauty, as is thy right, and royal duty.<

Aurora is dutiful because she is doing what she is obligated to do as princess sa pamamagitan ng being betrothed. And I think it’s dutiful rather than obedience sa pamamagitan ng doing what the mga engkanto ordered her to do.

11a Becoming a Princess

Firstly, logistically, she couldn’t even be a princess unless she returned and reclaimed her princess birthright. But madami than that, to be madami than just a princess in name she would have to uphold what a princess is bound to do. Because she is educated and conscious about betrothal, she knows how socially, politically, and legally important pagganap as a princess is.

Thus, she prioritizes the legitimate concerns and considerations of the kingdom before her own. She may be conflicted and she may be crying but never does she delay, ignore, let alone deny or minimize the responsibilities of being born a princess. She goes to the palace that evening for the wedding.

sa pamamagitan ng going along with the betrothal, she will be ipinapakita to her subjects that she is faithful and loyal to her kingdom’s traditions and norms. Thus, to them, she would be worthy of trust and respect, even honor. This act of duty, in itself, shows to me that she would be a great princess.

11b Ceasing being a Peasant

She tries to have a bravo face but she cries, again, because she is conflicted. She hasn’t yet emotionally ibingiay up on the stranger and her nakaraan desires of rebellion… but, she has enough mental and emotional discipline over her rebellious peasant pantasiya of meeting a dream prince to follow through with the betrothal

She is again responsible because she is not carelessly running away with the stranger she was developing a romance for. To do this a sixteen, when she’s practically an adult anyways, shows that she is very mature because she is prioritizing the reality of her princess situation

-

sa pamamagitan ng being betrothed, she is ipinapakita utmost tenderness: selflessness/altruism for the welfare of her people. Dignified Aurora teaches that you don’t need to rebellious or violent or a tomboy to be a heroine, rather, you can be a heroine sa pamamagitan ng being responsible, selfless, and loving.

12 LOVING

No resentment for anything in the past: having been separated from her parents at birth; having been deprived of her royal princess birthright for sixteen years; having been raised in near-isolation (if not for her fairy aunts and animal friends); having never known what danger she was constantly in… Loving Aurora forgives and forgets such things and meets her parents with open arms…

…and her father-in-law with a kiss.

(Previously, as a peasant, she had expressed authentic surprise and joy at a new dress and a cake. Now, as a princess, she shows the same appreciation)

-

13 PRINCESSLY / QUEENLY

She moves with such composure and poise. She behaves with elegance and refinement. And she speaks with such sophistication.

Rarely do I think of any other Disney Princess who conveys, not just in looks but in manner as well, the air of a graceful princess/queen

I recently added Merida to my favourite princesses list! I just pag-ibig her! I had sinabi before that I prefep romatic ones, but that changed with Merida, a free- spirited character, different than others. Merida is amazing, she is bravo and stubbon, headstrong and determined and she follows her heart, no matter what will happen! As she says, she is selfish, but I like her anyway! I pag-ibig her hair and how she feels free running and climbing! She learns from her mistakes and she is able, even to marry afterwars for her mother, sonmething that changes. She wanted to change her fate and she learned...

#1 Beauty & the Beast: One of the most touching endings I have ever seen this one is so beautiful as you hear the Beauty & the Beast song in the end and Belle dancing with Adam and you see the stained glass at the end. Simply beautiful.

#2 The Little Mermaid: Another touching scene that I pag-ibig and the reason is because I pag-ibig how Ariel says that she loves her father and you see her and Eric sharing true love’s halik which was so cute.

#3 Tangled: This one...

One of Snow White’s most discussed lines: I'm so ashamed of the fuss I've made. This line is discussed because Snow seems to not only apologize for feeling bad, but also feel bad for feeling bad. She seems to be ashamed for reacting in a perfectly normal way to a traumatic event.

So why did Snow White say this line and what does it say about her character?

To answer this, I'm going to go through the context in which this line is said. Snow White says it to the mga hayop after she breaks down crying due to her woods scene, arguably the lowest point in her movie.

Firstly, consider that these animals...

Please note that I do not hate any of the Princesses, I'm just going to be brutally honest explaining the placements and not sugarcoat things, whether you like it or not. *Takes a deep breath*, here goes!

13. Merida
Merida reminds me of annoying females who claim to be feminists and that's how I will always see her tbh. I pag-ibig that she is a free spirit but her ''strong and independent'' character is so in my face, it's annoying.

12. Tiana
Tiana is too narrow minded for my taste and I think she can be very boring. No not so much at the beginning but specifically when she turns into a...

Sorry so late, ipakita Week Drama has begun early for me. I'll try to have paborito Princesses up before Downton Abbey is on tonight at nine. link, link, and link

10th Prince Charming with 97 points
Charming sadly loses in this kind of rankings all the time and just as sad he isn’t event that close to 9th place. Charming is an underrated character just a bit but because of his lack of screen time it gets him down here. People sinabi he was...everything that I said.

9th The Prince with 130 points
Like Charming the Prince isn’t that far from last but this time, he isn’t that far sa pamamagitan ng a long shot!...

Years nakaraan I made an artikulo about Fanpop users that remind me of Disney characters so I decided to do an updated one about new Fanpop users, with a few who aren't here anymore but have earned their position in the article. Some things I might say may offend some people but try not to take it too personally and keep in mind I did warn you I'm going to be brutally honest, if you don't like it it's your own fault for pagbaba it. Enjoy!

dclairmont

This was a little hard but I realized that dclairmont is the most like Quasimodo. Both are very shy but are amazing guys. They're always very nice...

Originally, this artikulo was going to be a full count down but I couldn't decide on the order. That is why I'm doing a tuktok 5 countdown named: "Top 5 'Flawless' Princesses.

5. Snow White

In her movie, Snow White seems very sweet and innocent and perfect. However, I wouldn't describe her as flawless. She has one flaw that I find massive. Snow is incredibly naive and gullible. Taking pagkain from a crazy old lady means she is either very easy to convince or stupid (I think it's the former). Then there's the whole 'magic wishing mansanas thing'. Not only does she believe that garbage, but she makes an...

I've been meeting to write this, but Dani just sent me her pictures, so, here we go!

So in case you all didn't know, DreamyGal & I have been communicating for awhile on fanpop and on skype for the past 6 months, in our fanpop skype group, which consists of me, JonnaSe, CuteDiana, Cromulanfav, DreamyGal, & Diluka96. When Dani found out I was doing my Disney College Program and that I'd be working there for 4 1/2 months, she was excited for two reasons. One, because if she brings me to Disney World she gets free parking, and two, SHE GETS TO MEETME! Which is an honor that cannot be bestowed...

I fell in pag-ibig tonight.
He took me on a magical flight.
We flew around under the stars,
We could do anything; the night was ours.
I fell for him right there on that magic carpet.
I know this is a feeling I will never forget.
I finally found a handsome Prince.
Now everything in my life makes sense.
With him is where I belong.
I know what I’m feeling isn’t wrong.
I want to be with him for always.
When I’m with him I’m in a daze.
My future is beginning to unfurl,
All because he introduced me to a whole new world.

Hello everyone, sorry my nakaraan artikulo were a bit short because I didn't have time to write. But I have plenty of time to write this artikulo (:
This artikulo is a listahan of the biggest mistakes Disney Princesses make. The interesting thing is that some princesses have a lot of mistakes / flaws, while others are not noticed. Let's start.

1- Merida (The Great Risk, moreover, avarice in exchange for favors)
In fact, Merida made one of the most noticeable mistakes, which I briefly explained in my artikulo on why I didn't like her.
Merida's biggest mistake was risking her mother's life for her own freedom....
