The “Frozen” front is expected to move into the Hollywood Land section of Disney California Adventure later this month, with a “soft opening” planned for Dec. 20 and an official unveiling scheduled for Jan. 7 (after the Christmas holidays conclude for the season at the parks).
“For the First Time in Forever” retells the history of the film’s fictional kingdom while providing several opportunities for the kids in the audience to sing-along with popular songs from the movie. The new show replaces the former MuppetVision 3-D attraction, transforming the location into Arendelle’s Crown Jewel Theatre.

Next door in Stage 17 (the former home of the short-lived Who Wants to be a Millionaire attraction), Olaf’s Snow Fest will offer kids a chance to zip down slides, build a snowman with real snow and pose for photos with the beloved Olaf character from the film. Atmosphere talent will add a musical soundtrack to the indoor winter playground.
Outside, the Hollywood Land backlot space once dedicated to “Tron” and “Alice in Wonderland” themed nighttime dance parties will get a wintry makeover. The Freeze the Night dance party will feature frosty alcoholic beverages, DJ music and a light show as dancing partiers watch the temperature on a giant thermometer drop throughout the night until the revelry reaches a freezing crescendo.

If you haven’t slipped into a “Frozen” coma yet, the Downtown Disney shopping mall offers Olaf’s ice skating rink (through Feb. 22) and Anna & Elsa’s Boutique (as long as your money holds out).
For those keeping count, Anna and Elsa will have a number of commitments that will keep them hopping between both parks - from the meet-and-greet and the sing-along show to the parades and the Fantasy Faire show.
