Even if you're totally not sure though, I'd really appreciate your list! An unsure, bad list is better than no list at all :D

1. Cinderella - Since the death of her beloved father she had been abused and bullied by her stepmother and stepsisters. She has to see her childhood home fall into disrepair and see her father's money being wasted with dresses, hats, cosmetics, etc. Her stepmother is constantly playing with her hopes, and even after the traumatic physically abusing dress-ripping scene she still manages to look the woman who has made her life a hell in the eyes.

2. Rapunzel - She managed to break free from Gothel's brainwashing, abusive ways.

3. Snow White - She was abused by her stepmother, who wanted to make her feel ugly, and kept a positive attitude after nearly being killed. She is very resilient.

4. Anna - Was shut down by her sister for years, yet she never gives up on her and keeps an optimistic attitude.

5. Mulan - I consider selflessness as emotional strength. She also is quick with her wits and resourceful.

6. Tiana - Patient and perseverant. Worked hard for her dreams all these years.

7. Ariel - Impulsive and reckless, but it's incredibly strong she developed a different, non-prejudiced way of thinking from her bigoted father who hates humans.

8. Merida - Admits being wrong for wanting to change her mother, but like Ariel, she is harsh.

9. Pocahontas - Doesn't blame Nakoma for Kocoum's death, which I find admirable.

10. Elsa - She has trouble coping with her powers, but she is still strong, as she learns to control it through love and is very selfless.

11. Belle - Gave her freedom for her father and stands up to the abusive Beast and the sexist Gaston. But she is slightly snobbish, condescending and nosy.

12. Aurora - She chose being responsible and dutiful instead of running away, which could cause a war (not really because the Kings are good friends, but she doesn't know that).

13. Jasmine - Incredbly clever, quick-thinking and cunning. A fast leaner and I admire her for forgiving Aladdin's lies.

As you can see, I think each princess is really strong.

My Top Three can go any which way.
1: Cinderella: Sure she didn't sent a text to the wrong person or get a black IPhone and not a white one, but she's still strong.

2: Snow White:Same as Cinderella

3: Rapunzel

4: Tiana: Oddly because of the time and age she grew up in. Now many people (Mainly white I'm being a bit racist here) just watch this movie and think "Well it's not that hard for a woman to run a restaurant." not really thinking that a woman of her color that was as new to the world at the time. Now we see it everyday.

5: Anna : All the crap her parents and Elsa and everyone put her thought.

6: Ariel

7: Mulan

8: Merida

9: Pocahontas

10: Belle

11: Aurora

12: Jasmine

13: Elsa: Wait What? I think Elsa let her emotions get the best of her and just kept on shutting herself away from everyone one.

Also I'm joking with my Cinderella reason.

Lolol, let's give this a shot.

1. Cinderella
She went through a lot of crap. She and her father supposedly were really close; then the Tremaines came along. They tortured her and really were mean and abusive to her. She still remained hopeful that her life would get better.

2. Snow
Like Cinderella, Snow White stayed optimistic when she no longer had someone who loved her. Queen Grimhilde was truly jealous of Snow, but she did not abuse her mentally (that we see) to the extent of what the Tremaines did to Cindy. It was more of a servant type of abuse.

3. Tiana
She went through a lot. Not only is she a woman in the '20s trying to get a restaurant, but she is an African-American woman in the south. People in the movie made remarks about "a woman of your background" and such, but she still stayed as determined as ever.

4. Anna
She has a very optimistic outlook on life, even though she lost her parents at a young age, she was shut out by her sister, and wasn't allowed to communicate with the outside world.

5. Rapunzel
Rapunzel was locked in a tower with her "mother" that constantly makes snarky remarks, that seem jokey, but are much more than that. Punz still handles herself well being alone for so long, and then she has that courage to stand up to Gothel in the end.

6. Mulan
You've got to be strong mentally to fight in a war, and the fact that she went from being a dishonor to her family to being a fearless warrior just ups the ante.

7. Ariel
Ariel always had that strength to stick up for herself, and she still wanted to pursue human life even after her prejudice father decided against it. She is impulsive and reckless though, and makes decisions before she thinks. She is still sixteen, so I wouldn't expect anything else from her.

8. Merida
She's strong, mentally and physically. She defies tradition and her family. (mental strength being essential for that) Like Ariel, she is quick to make decisions, which are not always good.

9. Pocahontas
Pocahontas has plenty of mental strength moments. I mean, she saved a man that her tribe was plotting against! Pocahontas still remains indecisive through the movie. Though I love that trait from her, it makes her less mentally strong.

10. Belle
The girl is stubborn. She makes it through Gaston and the townspeople's remarks, along with Beast's temper.

11. Aurora
She chose duty over love, a remarkable, strong quality, but we don't get the chance to see all of her mental strength

12. Jasmine
She is harsh. She makes decisions quickly and becomes rash too easily, but she always has the strength to go against Jafar.

13. Elsa
She forced people away, had trouble controlling her powers due to her emotions, and felt like loneliness was the only way. Being alone all the time and not being able to control your emotions is actually quite unhealthy, imo, and shows little to no mental strength. She pulls herself together at the end, but that is not even ten minutes of screen time.. so yeah.

Sorry for my rather long descriptions. ^^

1. Snow White
Is 14, but still manages to stay strong after being forced from her abusive home when her stepmother tries to assassinate her.

2. Anna
After being shut out and lonely all her life, she never really seems to break or give up on trying for a relationship with her sister.

3. Rapunzel
She manages to fight back against her emotionally abusive 'mother', after years of being put down by her.

4. Elsa
Has all of that traumatic stuff happen to her (blaming herself for her sister's near-death, the whole 'conceal don't feel' business, being locked in her room alone for many years), but still is pretty strong, especially by the end where she has become probably a good queen and at least a bit better adjusted.

5. Cinderella
Stays hopeful throughout her situation being made a servant in her own home.

6. Tiana
With the Fenner Bros. and probably others like them telling her she couldn't do it, Tiana still worked extremely hard to achieve her dreams. Add to that the sexism and racism of those times.

7. Mulan
Was told that she didn't fit in with what society expected of her and was a failure as a daughter, but she still broke free of expectations, went to war in her father's place and saved China.

8. Belle
Stays strong throughout the townspeople calling her a weirdo right in her face, throughout Gaston's unwanted advances, and throughout the Beast's abusive rampaging.

9. Aurora
I can't put her too high as she does mostly crying and sleeping in her film, but she definitely gets points for dutifully going off to marry a supposed stranger.

10. Merida
She pretty much has a complete (and believable) character change in that she accepted that she had been selfish and was at fault, and, like Aurora, she was prepared to marry some random stranger for the good of the kingdom.

12. Jasmine
Isn't particularly strong, but she does stand against Jafar when he had her captive, and is definitely fervent in her resolve re: arranged marriage.

12. Pocahontas
Can't think of anything in particular, but she does go against her tribes opinions on the foreigners and in doing so saves John Smith's life.

13. Ariel
She is a bit strong, in that she goes against her father for her dreams, but she does it in such a selfish way, and anyway I still find the other DPs stronger.

I sometimes don't know what I'm talking about when it's about mental strength lol but I'll try...

1. Cinderella- Self-explanatory
2. Rapunzel- She overcame Mother Gothel's abuse.
3. Anna- She was deprived from what she needed for a long time, although she may seem unstable, she doesn't give up on people so easily.
4. Mulan- I think it takes more mental strength to go through training in the army. She had a pretty normal life before though.
5. Tiana- She accomplished so much and made it far when so much was holding her back in that time period.
6. Snow White- She had it worst but I don't think she is as aware of her problems as the other Princesses which doesn't make her stronger than the other Princesses to me.
7. Elsa- She is so low on other people's list. I think she was suffering from anxiety and it takes mental strength to overcome it. Whether she did or not, it takes mental strength to just handle it.

I can't explain for the rest...
8. Belle
9. Ariel
10. Merida
11. Pocahontas
12. Aurora
13. Jasmine

1. Tiana- she stayed focused on her goal for all those years. Even when she was a frog she was determined and hopeful. She's very mature and did not fall for Facilier's temptation, instead killing him. No matter what anyone said about her she stayed strong. I'm not completely sure though about this whole list.
2. Rapunzel- she was alone and brainwashed by Mother Gothel practically her entire life yet she yearned to seethe lanterns no matter what Gothel said. She was optimistic and after leaving the tower she was able to push aside everything that Gothel had told her and saw the world for herself. She even gives up her freedomfor Flynn and realizes on her own that Gothel is evil.
3. Anna- she was alone for years, her sister was never with her, her parents died, yet she stayed positive. She always hoped that she and Elsa would be close again and goes after her to try and help even when Elsa herself told her not to. She was strong throughout the film and even sacrificed herself for her sister, showing a lot of selflessness.
4. Mulan- she is so selfless and strong. Even when society basically rejected her she did not give up. She was a quick thinker and was able to endure intense military training and actual combat. She was injured and discovered but was determined to deliver the news that the Huns were going to attack. Wow, maybe she should be in the top 3.
5. Cinderella- she endured years of abuse but still managed to stay hopeful. Unfortunately, she loses points for flat out giving ultimately after she isn't allowed to go to the ball and she doesn't do much to change her situation throughout the film.
6. Snow White- she never seems to doubt that she will have a happy ending even after she finds out that the queen wants to kill her. She is treated like a servant yet is still positive. The biggest problem is that she falls for the queen's trick and ignored what the dwarves had said about talking to strangers.
7. Ariel- she did not let her father's prejudice( justifiable as it was) govern how she lived her life. She was willing to love someone that she knew her father would not approve of and always stood up for herself. She was open minded and positive and does admit that she made a huge mistake. Speaking of that mistake, that's why she loses points with me and her obsession with a man she doesn't know. She's a teen though and teens can be reckless and alittle selfish at times and boy crazy.
8. Merida- was unafraid to break with tradition and stand up for herself. She went against her parents wishes because they wanted her to marry someone she didn't love. She was determined and unafraid of what people thought of her. But like Ariel and Snow White she makes a big mistake but at least she tries to fix them and realizes she was wrong. Maybe she should switch with Ariel.
9. Pocahontas- she is also willing to love a man that she knew her father would disapprove of and was willing to go against her tribe's wishes and thoughts when she thought they weren't right for her. She is fairly open minded but indecisive so she loses points for that.
10. Belle- is not afraid to be different. She stood up for what she believed in and wasn't afraid to confront the Beast and Gaston. She is pretty optimistic but she could have suffered from Stockholm Syndrome so that possibility makes me take off points. Besides, she is strong but not as strong as the others although she does show selflessness.
11. Jasmine- she is willing to escape even when she knows she's not allowed to and wasn't accustomed to lifeon the streets. She is willing to forgive Aladdin, which could be a sign of strength or weakness, and is always standing up for herself even when she knows she is expected to marry a prince. She's not afraid to be herself.
12. Elsa- I'm not sure. She shows plenty of weakness since she's always shutting everyone out and she is afraid all the time but she does eventually break free of her fear and realizes her full potential. She is dutiful andIt takes her plenty of strength to control and conceal her powers at first but she was still governed by fear so....
13. Aurora- she chooses duty over love, which is pretty strong, but that's about it. She doesn't stand up for herself though or do anything to change her situation. She still dreams about a bright future so I guess that's strong but not strong enough.
Wow, I wrote way too much. Not completely sure about the ranking though.
