I absolutely HATE how she says "All you know is how to shut people out" to Elsa. It was completely uncalled for. All Elsa did was tell Anna that she can't marry a man she just met. Then Anna says this, and I think it is like the meanest thing she could've possibly said. It made me feel so bad for Elsa... the look on her face after Anna said that was so sad. :'(

I wouldn't say that's "all" Elsa said. Anna found it just as hurtful as Elsa found Anna's comment. But anyway..

Before the movie came out I thought I'd dislike Anna- she seemed like a Rapunzel ripoff and Disney's vague description of her personality of a "fearless optimist" sounded so generic and cliche. But I was happily surprised- Anna is wonderful! Her loneliness is relatable, as is her awkward side- which goes nicely with her naturally outgoing, friendly demeanor. In some ways she's a typical Disney girl- cute, love animals, wants love. But she's also tomboyish and adventurous, breaking the mold a bit. I don't think she's that much like Rapunzel either. They're both quirky, outgoing girls yes, but I admire Anna so much more. She refuses to ever give up on Elsa, even when she seems to dislike her. Frankly I would've gotten upset, and downright angry if my own sister didn't show up to our parents' funeral. Her forgiveness, unconditional love and sacrifice are so admirable. She's adorable <3

I honestly think Anna is one of the best revival Disney characters. Her awkward personality and outgoing nature makes me smile, her wanting to be loved and loneliness is relatable, and despite the fact that Elsa shuts her out, tells her to leave in the ice castle, even though Anna had done so much just to bring her back and be able to talk with her, and doesn't even show up at their parents funeral, she still sacrifices her own life to save hers. Her unconditional love, courage, and ability to forgive are all so admirable, and she's absolutely adorable. Just saying.

AudreyFreak, I kinda agree with you... Anna was upset about what Elsa said, but Elsa had to tell Anna that she wouldn't give her her blessing. Anna's retort was purposely trying to make Elsa feel bad IMO.

I think Disney saw the success Rapunzel got and wanted to make a similar adorkable character. She has traits lots of girls can relate to but is a very 1 dimensional character. She makes naive decisions and is not the best role model.

At first, I thought she was nice, but there was nothing unique or original about her, but now I absolutely love her. She's selfless, quirky and an all-around wonderful, relatable and realistic character. There's so much to look up to about her. I like that young girls can look at her and not be pressured to look up to her and not feel pressured to look/behave perfectly all the time, but at the same time she's so admirable.

I feel that she is just a clumsier version of Rapunzel and isn't really that original.

She is exactly the kind of female character I hate to see. Oh, she is spunky, and tries to do the right thing, never mind that she is totally incompetent. And look how dorky she looks with her hair messed up, and how clumsy she is (I have nothing against clumsiness if it is relevant to the story, but in this case it is just used as a token character flaw). Plus there is no reason for her to be that naïve. It is not like Elsa is the only other person in the palace, there are other people around (and I presume teachers).
Plus, I hate how she is all "I want romance! Now!" I thought we left THAT behind in the classic era.

I kind of dislike Anna as a character. I can't stand her. Her awkward acts are forced. She is less understanding and seems to be ignore people's advice for her.
My biggest problem with her is how that she's stubborn enough to marry stranger she's just met in a day. She's being so naive and trust stranger in this case, makes no sense as once she said with Kristoff that her parents told her to not believe in stranger. So does it mean she abandon their advice?
She is being so lonely in years but it doesn't mean she have to trust stranger too easily. How reckless she is to left the kingdom with asking stranger to keep her kingdom, she don't realize that what she does is totally dangerous.
That reasons are enough for me to dislike her. She's a rip-off Rapunzel but getting worse.
