I haven't watched Brave in a few months, but I remember her being rude, reckless, ready to poison and rob her mother's of her free-will, ignoring Elinor's pain, pressing her with questions to know if her views on the arranged marriage issue have changed, and only admitting she was wrong in the very end, when her mother is seemingly condemned to remain an irrational animal forever.

But she's not even that bad of a role model

Merida as well, but at least she learns from her mistakes and admits her faults at the end of the movie (but I still don't think it's a good message, because everything went the way Merida wanted as Elinor listened to her every whim- if it was a story about bonding and uniting each of them would have sacrificed a bit of their selfish desires to accept the other's wishes).

But Elsa wins the cake. Runs away from her duties, thinks living by herself and ignoring her problems is the way to go, and pretty much lets her sister do all the dirty work for her.

I don't think Merida's a bad role model per se; the others are just better role models in my opinion.

Elsa does make a lot of bad choices but I judge attitude as well as that. I'd probably pick her next though, but I've explained why Rapunzel many times. Merida was SUPPOSED to be a brat at first. That's the point. That's how the movie can teach kids that every selfish action has a consequence. At least she owns up to her selfishness and defiance, which is extremely important to teach children, not teach them to do whatever they want regardless of what the right thing is then make excuses.

Tiana I can see as either way-her optimism and loyalty are admirable but her intolerance isn't. Overall she's far from the worst though. Anna is one of if not THE most selfless and forgiving heroines and is determined to make things right even though she didn't cause the winter.

Merida. I agreed that she learned her lessons but the movie doesn't show HOW she learned from her mistakes. That part of character development was too rushed.

Agreed on Elsa. It annoys me that she couldn't tell Anna why she had to distance herself from her (even after their parents died). Even after finding out how much winter she caused, she still plans on running away!

As of F2 I might switch to Elsa though. I don't think overall she's a bad person or anything but I can't believe how okay she was with endangering everyone to find out about the voice. On top of all the stuff in F1.
