yes, and SB, because then they think it sounds so clever and shocking to go "Lol, you know Cinderella had those birds peck out their eyes/SB was raped by the prince in the books right?" There's different versions of super-popular fairy tales out there and people don't bother to find out which ones are the ones Disney was inspired by.

^ Exactly. People these days are so used to there only being one "real" version of everything, so when they're confronted with fairy tales or mythology (both of which have always had multiple versions floating around... oral tradition blah blah blah), they get very confused. It's frustrating.

Yeah, people always try to seem edgy by saying "lol in the original book she was killed"...I don't get what are these people trying to do. Are they saying Disney is wrong for "sanitizing" a story?

Sometimes people just like shitting on Disney for the dumbest of reasons.
