2. He fought his way through a sequence of increasingly dangerous situations to rescue her, including fighting a dragon.
3. He did all of the above without complaint or hesitation. Everything Phillip does in Sleeping Beauty is out of love for Aurora.

I agree with audreybrooke...the only one who beats Phillip in dedication is Eugene, because he is not just ready to risk his life, he is ready to give it up for Rapunzel. But since he isn't on the list, nobody can rival Phillip, who overcame all the powers of hell in order to rescue Aurora.

Beast/Adam merely confesses his love for Belle. And when he fights Gaston, it is mostly because Gaston and his mob have invaded his house ( a territorial dispute).

I agree with audreybrooke. Phillip is a man of few words, but his actions all suggest that his idea of love is one of "action and devotion." He is devoted to keeping Aurora safe, not just to loving her beautiful face and body. Protecting one's beloved is another aspect of love. Not just dancing with her. I still think this way after having seen both films 20+ times.

I also agree with Swanpride, that only Eugene, Eric, and Shang beat Phillip in terms of devotion to what is moral. This group of princes are not just in it for themselves. They're willing to fight, die, and risk all they have to protect the people they love.

I do not like the Beast that much, but when he lets Belle go.. My heart hurts.

Agreed with the others, on Flynn too, even though I dislike him.
