And lost princesses ones (like Rapunzel and Anastasia), the other one is nice too (but so cliche for me).

Aside from the original and oldest of the "the common girl who becomes a princess" trope done with Charles Perrault's Cinderella, I just find that thereafter, the whole fairy-tale girl-not-born-royal-becomes-royal on the boring side ( so Belle and Tiana are both annoying to me for a plot that is too predictable).


And since Disney and others have pushed the "lost princess" trope so heavily during the last several years (with Rapunzel, Anastasia, Odette, among others) I just have tired of that, too.

^How is Odette a lost princess though? Unless you mean lost as in kidnapped but her situation is different than Anastasia and Rapunzel.

^I meant "lost" as in "kidnapped." Rapunzel was also kidnapped by Gothel as a baby, remember? Whenever the kidnapping happened, it resulted in a lost princess. So Odette is the same as Rapunzel is ( to me) in this regard. The only thing I've seen with Anya was that she was abandoned in an orphanage. So out of the three "lost princesses" I've named, Anya is the only one who was not kidnapped.

^I understand now. Thank you for responding. I did not make the connection because Odette was only kidnapped for a few months compared to Rapunzel. Lost princess usually refers to Anya or Rapunzel so people seem to mean having been lost for a whole lifetime.
