He slays dragons! No offence or anything but If I was in danger I wouldn't want the Beast near me as I'd be too scared of the Beast aswell! There's no point adding more to the frightening scale haha

I think Shang. Not only does he have all that army training, but I get the feeling some of the others would be overprotective in a way that would make them weaker in a fight. If whoever you were with was distracted checking on you it would make them much easier to take down. Being in the army Shang would be aware enough of his surroundings to keep an eye on you, so he'd know if you did need help, but not so 'knight in shining armour' that he'd be distracted or leave himself open to attack trying to shield you when you didn't need it.

and the beast

But I'd feel totally safe with Prince Phillip or Shang as well :D
