Mulan and Shang went through harsh training, battles, Shang's father dying and Mulan almost needing to be executed. As well as the personal journeys to prove themselves, Mulan finding who she really was and her self worth, Shang proving he deserved his position and didn't only get it because of who his father was.

Turning into a frog is not the esiest thing to do. And that's not including the frog hunters, and everyone else who wants to see a couple of frogs dead.

Also, Mulan had to be through a tough time when she thought Shang died in the second movie. It was probably really hard because she was holding on to him when they were about to fall and Shang got loose from her grasp.

Mulan & Shang came a close second,but I think Pocahuntas & John Smith went through the most because her people didn't want her to be with John Smith because of the different world that he lives in.Belle and the Beast came in third ,because the townspeople saw the prince in his monsterous form and they prosumed that he was dangerous wheras Belle saw him as a caring,stubborn man with a good heart and soul.

Mermaid-Tail basically summed it up and I think out of those couples Mulan/Shang truly went through a lot TOGETHER. It was them both going through the war, it was them always by each other's side, it was them fighting shoulder to shoulder, it was her falling for him slowly, it was him ending up loving her, it was them going through a lot of troubles in the 2nd movie. I think none of those couples can actually come close to that.

Well, maybe except Belle and the Beast, they come second.
