she never fulfilled her role as a princess, not that it was right to marry but her attitude towards it wasn't in the right place. Insulting other princes, talking rudely to vizier and escaping palace at night.

Belle is a snob, and never worked a day in her life. She's waiting around for her dad to get his invention started and "drop a new dream into her lap." If her dad had not been captured by the Beast, Belle would still be moping around, singing about being "hit upon" by Gaston, and generally sitting on her butt reading fairy tale romances.


Jasmine may not have liked marriage, as she did get really nasty towards the suitors. I think when Jasmine ran away, and caused Aladdin to become imprisoned--- some of her self-righteousness left her. Jas stopped being so openly nasty. There's only the bit part of her saying "she's not a prize to be won!" after that.

I think Jasmine is lacking in stoicism and teamwork which would hurt her in a dream job (outside of princess/queen) while Belle lacks in ambition and prioritizing which could hurt her in a dream job. That being said, if they couldn't get their dream jobs and got stuck with jobs they didn't like but needed, I think Belle would fair a lot better than Jasmine in that kind of workplace judging by Belle's demeanor with Gaston compared to Jasmine's demeanor with Jafar etc.
