Disney movies are so widely known and universally beloved that you’d have a hard time finding someone who doesn’t know each of them inside and out. Every day, a new group of kids discovers the classics we grew up with, and also every day, babies are born already loving

and filling the maternity wings of hospitals with angelic baby chorus renditions of “Let It Go” (or at least it feels that way).

Considering how ubiquitous Disney movies are, and in the interest of science, we decided to put a certain tale as old as time to the test. Without its gorgeous and iconic animation, award-winning music, and beautiful story, is

recognizable using random stock photos from the Internet? You be the judge.

In that castle lives a prince. He’s kind of spoiled, not really that nice. 2 of 65

An old beggar woman comes to the castle seeking shelter. 3 of 65

The prince is like, “Nah.” (Like we said, not that nice of a guy.) 4 of 65

The old beggar woman is not only mad, but also a secret enchantress, and she casts a spell on Prince Rudeness to turn him into a Beast. 5 of 65

He has to fall in love before the last enchanted rose petal falls on his 21st birthday. Good luck with that, Prince Rudeness. 6 of 65

Elsewhere, we’ve got a little town/quiet village where a girl named Belle lives. 7 of 65

There goes the baker with his tray like always. 9 of 65

Everyone’s gossiping about Belle because she likes to read, because apparently that’s newsworthy in this town. 10 of 65

Belle doesn’t care. She heads to the library to check out her favorite book… again. 11 of 65

She proceeds to read her favorite book, specifically the part where the heroine meets Prince Charming but doesn’t discover that it’s him ‘til Chapter 3. 12 of 65

Gaston really loves himself. The ladies love him too. 14 of 65

Belle doesn’t have time for Gaston. Meanwhile, her father, the crazy inventor Maurice, has made an invention so crazy that it works. 15 of 65

He heads off to show the world his invention. Terrifying wolves chase him to Beast’s castle instead. 16 of 65

He meets the castle’s occupants, who are sentient enchanted objects. 17 of 65

What’s that noise? Lumiere warns Maurice that it must be the terrifying Beast. 18 of 65

Back in the provincial township, Gaston has decided to marry Belle today. He sets up a lovely outdoor venue and then goes to Belle’s house to propose. 21 of 65

But first he checks himself out. He likes what he sees. 22 of 65

Belle tells him off graciously. The force of her burn propels him face first into the mud. 23 of 65

Belle wants adventure in the great wide somewhere. 24 of 65

But then Belle realizes Maurice is in trouble. She bravely sets off to save him, and stumbles into the castle, where Beast finds her. He’s really, really mad. 25 of 65

Belle proposes a deal in which she and Maurice switch places. Beast agrees to these terms. Beast shows her to her new room. It’s been a long day for Belle. 26 of 65

No one looks really great in stock photos like Gaston. 30 of 65

Finally he devises a plan. It\'s quite the evil plan. 31 of 65

Meanwhile, Belle insists she’s not going to dinner. Beast is once again displeased. 32 of 65

Mrs. Potts defends her eloquently. “This girl has lost her father and her freedom all in one day.” 33 of 65

Beast is unswayed. Lumiere and Mrs. Potts convince him he needs to charm Belle in order to break the curse. Beast considers this. 34 of 65

Cogsworth confesses Belle’s not coming to dinner. Beast goes full beast-mode, yells at everyone, then goes to look in the enchanted mirror. 36 of 65

Later, Belle’s hungry. She goes off to find some dinner. 37 of 65

“The dining room proudly presents… your dinner.” 38 of 65

Song. Dance. Lights. French food. Gray stuff. It’s a magical menagerie with high production value. 39 of 65

Belle’s hunger is satisfied… but not her hunger for KNOWLEDGE. She ignores Lumiere and Cogsworth’s warnings and sets off to explore the West Wing. 40 of 65

She sees a ripped painting of Beast, pre-Beast transformation. What’s this? An enchanted rose? 41 of 65

Beast catches her trespassing and loses his mind. Belle’s had just about enough, so she jumps on her horse to get outta there ASAP. 42 of 65

But wait—there are wolves in these woods, Belle! Remember?? 43 of 65

Beast comes to save her from the wolves, but he sustains some injuries. Luckily, Belle is trained in the art of Beast first aid. 44 of 65

Beast gets a little cranky. Belle tells him to control his temper. 45 of 65

Back in the provincial township, Gaston deploys an evil scheme to lock up Maurice and force Belle to marry him. Classic Gaston. 46 of 65

Beast is trying to play nice, because he’s really starting to like Belle. He gives her an entire library. Belle is predictably thrilled. 47 of 65

Beast and Belle are getting along better every day. 48 of 65

Perhaps there’s something there that wasn’t there before. 49 of 65

“Shhh. I’ll tell you when you’re older.” 51 of 65

Time for a big dinner! Lumiere and company groom Beast to look his beastly best. 52 of 65

Meanwhile, Belle comes down the stairs looking absolutely stunning. 53 of 65

Time for chandeliers and ballrooms and dancing. Tale as old as time. 54 of 65

But wait! The enchanted mirror shows Maurice in trouble. Belle runs off to save him. 55 of 65

Belle uses the mirror to show the angry mob that Beast is real and Maurice isn’t crazy. The angry mob responds irrationally, as angry mobs often do. 57 of 65

Gaston leads them to the castle for a battle of the ages. 58 of 65

The enchanted occupants of the castle defend it bravely, and without opposable thumbs to boot. The angry mob is defeated. 59 of 65

Gaston and Beast battle on the roof in a rainstorm. It’s terrifying. 60 of 65

Finally, Gaston receives his comeuppance. He falls to his demise. 61 of 65

Beast is critically injured, and Belle weeps as she realizes she loves him. But the last petal is falling… 62 of 65

What’s this? Magic in the nick of time? Beast is human again! 63 of 65

Everyone in the castle becomes a human again. Celebrations all around! 64 of 65

Belle and Beast dance beautifully once more. They all live happily ever after. 65 of 65
