is river song an alien or a human?

I don't know, She could be a human from the future or be like The Doctor who is an alien that looks human, your guess is good as mine, she could well be an unsolvable mystery like The Doctor's real name and he's not talking.

I think she's most likely human, but has had a lot of contact with aliens, that's why she's a bit weird. But really, I have no idea.

One of the episodes might hint that River is human. Remember when they went to the planet of the weeping angels. She was a prisoner at that time. Her captive were soldiers from a group that had evolved from the church. (on Earth) Maybe since she was in a human prison, we could assume she is human? Or maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see if they tell us.

I think she is a bit of both.
Me, I am thinking she was a future companion of the Doctor and he accidently turns her alien somehow like something goes wrong.
Anyways, that is just my opinion.

Nobody knows. She is either human or near-human, like the inhabitants of the planet sto (from Voyage of the Damned). Hopefully we find out in season 6!

quite frankly ive deduced tht she must b mostly human but with a touch of timelord, like rose tyler when she went bad lobo except only a few small touches of tht energy
