Chapter 14: Wager
I entered the house to find Emmett and Jasper absorbed in a video game, with Alice perched on the sopa flipping through a magazine.
“You’re tahanan early,” Jasper observed, never taking his eyes off the telebisyon screen.
“I couldn’t possibly hunt anymore,” I explained. “Plus, I was hoping to be there when Bella arrived home, since she forgot her phone.”
“She isn’t tahanan yet,” Alice said. “Or at least, I can’t see her yet. She could be tahanan and the dog is still there, I guess.”
“ Either way, I think I’m going to wait for her over there.”
