Because in the first movie of Twilight he talks to Bella and he is the most hottest guy in the movie. He was thinking about Bella is nice to him and that is why he loves her in the movie. But he still loves her but Jacob takes care of Bella which it is a diffcult thing to take care of someone that is madami careful to Edward but that is in the New Moon movie but I think Edward loves Bella and that is why that he choose her instead of one of the other girls that he will pag-ibig but he loves Bella:)
