Will Emma Watson be coming to Pittsburgh to film her first post-"Harry Potter" role?

Ms. Watson, known to moviegoers worldwide as Hermione in the "Potter" movies, is sinabi to have been cast in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," along with Logan Lerman.

Upper St. Clair native Stephen Chbosky, who wrote the best-selling book upon which the movie is based, will direct the film. Ava Dellaira, his assistant, confirmed Monday that he plans to film here. "He says he wouldn't consider any other location," she said. No petsa for filming has been set, she added.

Mr. Chbosky, creator and executive producer of the TV series "Jericho," also wrote the screenplay for the film version of "Rent."

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" was published in 1999 and is set in a Pittsburgh suburb. The book is written from the point of view of an introspective high school freshman and takes the form of a series of letters.

"The Pittsburgh Film Office has not had a conversation with anybody" connected with the project, sinabi Pittsburgh Film Office director Dawn Keezer. "We would pag-ibig for them to come. But at this point, we've spoken to no one." The Film Office has been getting "a ton of e-mails and calls" about the project, Ms. Keezer added.

The film is listed on the Internet Movie Database as being in pre-production for 2011, with Pittsburgh as a location.

Emma Watson collaborates with fashion house Alberta Ferretti

"Harry Potter's" Emma Watson is taking a high-heeled step into the world of high fashion as a collaborator for the Italian fashion house Alberta Ferretti.

The former face of burberry and new face of Lancome honed her disensyo skills at People Tree, a fair-trade British brand, and will soon launch a five-item eco-friendly line for Ferretti called Pure Threads sa pamamagitan ng Emma Watson.
