Amber looked outside her window. The house was surrounded sa pamamagitan ng police cars and a police officer held a loudhailer in his hand. She automatically covered her hands when he shouted: “Amber Lindy! You’re surrounded, there’s no way you can escape! Walk outside with your hands behind your head!”
Yeah, sure, I’ll surrender for something I didn’t do, Amber thought while she put her finger in her ears. They ringed. She would’ve heard him perfectly fine without the speaker, but of course they couldn’t know that.
Amber took out her phone and dialed a number. It took a while before she reached the one she was trying for.
“Not now, Am, I’m kind of busy” a female voice said.
“I need your help, Kel” Amber sinabi urgent. “I’m in trouble”
“Well, that’s a new one” Kelsey sinabi sarcastic.
“Can you leave out the sarcasm?” Amber asked tired.
“Sure” Kelsey said. “What do you need? Money? Medicines? I can’t give you much, they could notice”
“No, I don’t need anything other than your help. Can you please get here, in my room?” Amber insisted.
“All right” Kelsey replied. “Make sure mom and dad don’t see me” She hung up.
Clutter on the stairs alerted Amber someone was coming up. A few segundos later someone banged the door. “Amber Lindy, get out of that room right now! We are armed, this is going to end. Open the door!” Naturally Amber did not obey that order. “Crush the door” someone else said.
But before the door slammed open Amber ran to her window and opened it. She looked down. Experience had learned her she could jump and fall and stand up. But to get passed the crowd was a mission impossible. That’s what she needed Kelsey for. She placed her feet on the window-ledge, took a deep breath and jumped.
At first there was complete silence. It was as if everyone had Nawawala their voice and everything its sound. Then someone let out a scream.
People tried to get closer to the body, while the police tried their best to keep them to a distance.
“We need an ambulance!”
“Someone call 911!”
Then a female voice: “Let me through! That’s my sister!”
The crowd split up and let Kelsey pass. When she got to the yellow strip that was supposed to keep people away a police man tried to stop her. “I’m sorry, but I can’t let you pass, miss”
“That’s my sister” Kelsey repeated. “I’m a nurse, I can do first aid”
The police man step aside and let her through. She ran to her sister’s body, her high heels ticking on the pavers. She bent on her knees and rolled Amber on her back. She pushed her eyelids up and could easily tell she was fully conscious. Kelsey bowed and whispered in Amber’s ear: “I’m going to lift you up. Can you pretend you’re injured?”
Amber gave an almost unnoticeable nod and Kelsey threw her arm around her shoulder. She pulled Amber up.
“Aaaaaaah!”
Kelsey rolled her eyes. “A little madami overacted, please!” she hissed. “Just pull faces, okay?” She dragged her sister away from the house. She wanted to go her car, but was once again stopped sa pamamagitan ng the police man.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t let you take her somewhere” he said. “You’re her sister, I can’t trust you. You might help her escape”
Kelsey pulled her shoulders and raised her hands. “Then let someone come with us. Someone strong, who can easily take two girls down”
The police man seemed to consider that suggestion. He whistled on his fingers and waved with his hand to one of his colleagues. The man came to him. “Can you bring them to the van?”
“Cuffs?” the colleague asked.
“Don’t bother” the police man said. “She’s not going to run anywhere fast” He sinabi with a look at Amber.
The colleague took Amber sa pamamagitan ng her other arm and along with Kelsey he carried her to the police van. When they arrived the police man let go of Amber and unlocked the van. He heard a thump and looked behind him. Amber was lying on the ground, playing her injured role, but Kelsey was gone. He picked her up and turned around to put her in the van. Kelsey blocked him. She gave him a strange look which made him shiver. She grabbed his neck and turned it over. A crack and she dropped him on the floor, Amber still in his arms.

Katherine was sitting on a chair. A row of small stakes pinched each arm to the arm-rests and a special kind of muzzle kept her mouth shut. The muzzle also had stakes, smaller than the arm stakes, and they pierced through Katherine’s jaws. “I’m sorry for the inconvenience” Veronica sinabi demeaning. “Actually, I’m not. You had this coming. You broke in here, you threatened me” She took a chair and put it down in front of Katherine. “Such a pity Derek chose the wrong side. If he hadn’t Damon Salvatore would be sitting susunod to you”
Katherine managed to produce a smirk.
“Oh, don’t be so smug” Veronica sniffed. “I’ll get to him. He’s the one that killed Kelsey. He will die a slow and painful death” she said, madami to herself than to Katherine. She stood up and walked to a corner, where she picked up her cross-bow. “In the meantime” she said, while she aimed the crossbow at Katherine. “I have you to have fun with” and she fired.

Damon raced outside and got into his car. He turned around the keys and drove onto the street. He then pushed the accelerator pedal and raced ahead.
He tried to keep his eyes open. He should have drunken some blood, if only just a little bit. He could almost feel his body breaking inside. But he had to stay awake long enough to get to the hospital.
Other drivers were hooting, because he drove from right to left and from left to right.
“Where did you get your driving license?!” someone yelled angry.
Damon felt his eyes fall down. The car drove for another few yards, while other drivers tried to avoid it.
Then the car drove off the road, turned over three times, landed on its upper side and caught fire.
