Many of my soapboxes focus on me, myself and I. Some of you may not enjoy it. Others may find it repetitive. To you, I say, P*** Off. Its cheaper than therapy.
Todays Soapbox contains a little life story:
Be careful of the way you treat others- it could be harmful.
Let me elaborate...
I work as a volunteer youth leader in a small community. We meet every 2nd Friday in a local GAA (Gaelic Athletics Association)hall. The club runs for any 12-18 taon olds attending secondary school that are living in the surrounding area.
I came up through the ranks of this austere association. I started at 12 as a member, became a junior leader at 16, and finally did my senior leader training last year.
We mostly play sports and games, allowing people who might attend different schools meet up with old mga kaibigan for a bit of craic.
Every taon is tough to get them to settle in. This taon has been madami difficult than most, due to the influx of hyper young males into the club. Don't get me wrong some of these are the sweetest, nicest young lads you could ever meet. And then there are the others...
Kids who make Damien from the Omen look like a saint, who could challenge Bart Simpson for position of Chief Troublemaker, who make Eric Cartman seem like a sweet young man.
Last night was club night. We had four teams set up for a game of capture the bricks. Four squares, you had to protect the bricks in your square from the other teams whiling stealing bricks from the other groups. One team, however, only had six people. I volunteered to play on their team. 1st mistake.
Now like I said, this taon has been tough. We have had incidents that have led to some members being disciplined. They are not our biggest fans.
Game starts. I'm on defense of the square. I turn around when one of my team calls me. 2nd mistake.
All of a sudden, I hear a noise. It reminds me of the Uruk-hai banging their spears outside the Hornburg. I turn around, and they see the whites of my eyes. 3rd mistake.
I am then the focus of a well coordinated rugby tackle involving five gleeful members of the club. Guess who won.
As I write this, lying on the couch, fearing to ilipat lest I aggravate my numerous aches, I come to an epihany - Revenge is definitely best served cold, and be careful in your dealings with others-or you may find yourself in the middle of a scrum.
(This artikulo is intended to be lighthearted. I was vastly amused sa pamamagitan ng the incident-means I can get my own back susunod week. Laps, anyone?)

Bullys are vultures because like vultures a bully will only pick on those that appear weak.
A buwitre is really a cowardly creature that only goes after prey that is weak. A buwitre will never attack another animal that will fight back.
I'm not advocating violence because that just leads to madami problems. But I do think a person should give an appearance of strength to ward off
any bullys. A bully just wants to get a rise out of you so don't give them want and go about your business. Always take the high road when being confronted sa pamamagitan ng a bully and don't sink to their leval of cruelty.
Like most of you I was picked on when I was in school but I never gave into them or resort to violence. I just ignored them and went on with my life because they were not worth fighting. A bully is nothing but a vuture looking for weak prey.

It's almost pasko and I want to send out
season's greetings to everyone on my fanlist.
I would pag-ibig to send greetings to you all
individually but since my fanlist has swollen
to over 200 people that won't be pactical. So
I decided to take the shotgun approach and just
send a blanket season's greetings to everyone on
my fanlist.
In whatever manner you celebrate the season in
your part of the world I hope you all will have a
wonderful time with your families and friends. And that you all be ligtas during the holidays.
Here's hoping everyone has a grand time and that in the coming taon you will all find peace and prosperity in your lives.
