If you don't know, a Mary Sue is a character that is always written in a biased way by the writer, a character that is super important to the story and every other character in the story loves them (and if they don't, these side characters are turned into villains). Mary Sues have no struggles and no problems to overcome, and they easily save the day every time they fight.

This is the problem i feel with this show, that it's obvious the writers (and the TV-only audience too) likes these characters the most and so always give them the best things to do so they can appear likeable. While Tyrion and Arya in the books kill innocent people, here they either don't kill or kill "bad" people (like the Oyster guy was turned from a neutral figure into a villainous one in the show).

Like the TV show writers would NEVER kill any of these three in such a graphic manner or have any of the girls be raped in such a way. I'm kinda hoping GRRM kills one of them in a totally brutal and graphic fashion, because then the TV writers would probably not follow that storyline, lol.

Yes along with Jon Snow! It's obvious both George and D&D are biased when it comes to these characters.

As I said before I will only truly believe in "Everyone can die" when I see one of these massive main characters die! Because every time these characters are in trouble they just have to be saved in some way, unlike other characters!

I don't really have respect for that... But on the other hand we also need some characters to be alive so we actually have anyone to follow and care about!... Or most people will likely stop watching! and I guess that also has something to do with it

But on other hand, other characters that live in the books and stay strong aren't written in such a biased way- look at Jaime and Brienne, they're fan favorites but the tv writers don't really care about them (otherwise Brienne wouldn't be so incompetent and Jaime wouldn't have raped his sister).

I don't think they're really Mary Sues in the books or even in the first few seasons. But at this point, yeah.

In the books they certainly aren't. Martin always points out their flaws alongside with their good parts.

on the show though? Yeaah.
