It shows sexism as a problem, but unlike most episodes that do this (or in the case of something like Bella and The Bulldogs, drag it out as a plot for an entire series) it's not just focusing on how society is sexist towards women, but also with men. It shows that a lot of women will try to blame things on men when they're to be blamed. I mean, aside from Riley, none of the girls really wanted to do any of the work and just accepted it but later decided to blame the men. Riley, who did start this, soon realizes that hating men and blaming them for all of the women's problems isn't the solution. Clearly, Farkle is more skilled in science (Actually in every subject in school, aside from gym) than Riley, but also didn't want to keep her from learning and figuring out the solution. He was upset at first by thinking he would fail the assignment because she would drop the ball, but later trusted that she would figure out something he didn't know because he knows she's smart. The episode is showing how the world shouldn't bash men or women because that just causes problems, but instead see each other as equals. That's actually pretty deep for a Disney Channel show. I also love how it showed that just rewarding someone for participating the same as everyone else just keeps them from actually trying to improve. Plus, it's enjoyable to see Auggie and Ava being like a MUCH young and more overly exaggerated version of Cory and Topanga lol.
