Nine of the ten spots in the tuktok 10 were taken sa pamamagitan ng idol groups, mainly 2NE1, Brown Eyed Girls, and 2PM. From the tuktok 10, eight of the spots were taken sa pamamagitan ng girl groups, proving that the taon of 2009 was indeed the taon of girl groups.
