Did Lea Michele Cut Her Hair? You Have to See it to Believe it! (PHOTO)

Lea Michele (Rachel) got a makeover! Well, sort of.

For years we’ve seen the Glee actress proudly show off her long locks on hikes, red carpets, and many a vacation, but the 28-year-actress threw us for a loop yesterday, January 20, when a picture of her with co-star Becca Tobin (Kitty) popped up on Becca’s Instagram. Gone were Lea’s lengthy tresses and seemingly in their place was an on-trend long bob, or lob, if you will.

Becca posted the on-set snap showing her and Lea rocking some seriously sparkly outfits. She even captioned it, “Come see our magic show in Vegas #TheAmazingLeaandBecca.” And while those ensembles nearly blinded us, we were still able to take note of Lea’s hair, which was noticeably shorter than it has been in years. The Internet promptly freaked out (entirely necessary, of course) with some people loving Lea’s new ‘do and others bashing it.

But guys, it turns out the whole frenzy was all for naught because Lea didn’t actually cut her hair at all.

Earlier today Lea retweeted a message from Glee writer Jess Meyer that read, “BREAKING NEWS SHE DIDNT CUT HER HAIR FOLKS. @msleamichele,” and included a photo of Lea’s very long, untouched mane.

While we don’t yet know what necessitated that tucked under hairstyle (why would Rachel Berry need short hair?!), we’re sure Ryan Murphy and co. had their reasons. Plus, we bet they love that everyone freaked out in the meantime!
